SWAT: Shemar Moore to Star in Reboot Series Pilot for CBS

A born and bred S.W.A.T. lieutenant, Daniel ‘Hondo’ Harrelson (Moore), torn between loyalty to the streets and duty to his fellow officers when he’s tasked to run a highly-trained unit that is the last stop for solving crimes in Los Angeles. Moore’s Harrelson, exuding calmness but always ready for action, has all the ability to become a leader – he’s just not happy with the reason he just became one.”

SWAT is based on the 2003 film and 1970s television series. Samuel L. Jackson played Moore’s role in the feature film.

Originally based on the 1975 series from Aaron Spelling, the action drama will follow “a locally born and bredS.W.A.T. lieutenant torn between loyalty to the streets and duty to his fellow officers when he’s tasked to run a highly-trained unit that is the last stop for solving crimes in Los Angeles.” The movie adaptation starred Samuel L. Jackson. Colin Farrell, Michelle Rodriguez, and LL Cool J.
