Magneto

Max Eisenhardt

To live among the stars, to rule jungle kingdoms, to guide entire nations, only to find oneself here. A self-loathing man might see this as deserved punishment. A vain man might compare this to the Christian Devil’s fall from heaven. Me, I think the coffee’s not terrible. I have been known by many names. Max Eisenhardt. Erik Lehnsherr. Magnus. Magneto. Each name marks its own sin. And one day I’ll answer for those offenses. But not today. Only my actions… what I do in the name of all mutants… hold any real meaning

The man now known as “Magneto” was born Max Eisenhardt. While attending school in Nuremberg, Germany, Max was attracted to a young Romani girl, named Magda, the daughter of the school cleaner. Max would do things, such as create necklaces and excel in sporting events, to gain her attention. While returning from school one day, Max found his uncle, Erich, beaten and wearing a sign saying that he had shamed a German woman. At a school event, Max won a javelin competition, to impress Magda, and the following day, was accused of cheating. Max was told to either give-up his medal or recreate the throw with a “regulation” javelin. After winning the competition a second time, Max was again accused of cheating, expelled and beaten by the other children.

After traveling with his father Jakob to see Major Scharf, whom he saved in World War I, his father was left waiting for the Major and beaten by a troupe of Nazis for “making such a trouble” in Scharf’s office and resisting arrest. After hours of beating, Major Scharf threw Jakob out of his office, stating that they would have killed him and that they were even. As things worsened in Germany, Max’s father taught his family “fight back, and they’ll stomp in your head”, but fled to Warsaw, Poland after Reichskristallnacht.

There they lived in the Jewish section of Warsaw where the Nazis built the Warsaw Ghetto in October 1940. His time in the ghetto molded Max into a smuggler of food and supplies. When the Nazis started to deport ghetto inhabitants to Treblinka extermination camp in July 1942, Max and his family escaped from Warsaw. On their way to their hideout they were captured by Nazi soldiers and as they were executed, Jakob saved Max’ life by pushing him out of the firing line without anyone’s notice. The corpse and Max were buried in a mass grave.

Powers

Magnetokinesis: Magneto has comprehensive control over all forms of magnetism and utilizes that control to manipulate ferrous metals and achieve a variety of effects. He recently proved able to effectively hold together the headless form of a Celestial.Magneto can manipulate an entire planet’s electromagnetic field and once even pulled back the giant metallic ‘bullet’ where Kitty Pryde was trapped inside which was at least a few lightyears away from Earth, though these are a tasks that require great effort on his part. Magneto has harnessed magnetism to stop armies, raise islands from ocean floors, move mountains, change the course of rivers, and threaten to devastate the world with floods and earthquakes. Magneto once blanketed the entire globe with a self-generated electromagnetic pulse that caused widespread devastation. Moreover, he can use his magnetic powers in more than one way simultaneously. He can completely assemble a complicated machine within seconds through his powers. It is unclear whether Magneto’s power is psionic or purely physiological in nature.

  • Magnetic Force-Fields: Magneto usually protects himself with a personal force field that he can quickly expand to protect large areas. His force field has withstood the effects of multiple nuclear weapons, volcanic eruptions, the depths of space, and attacks from multiple Avengers or X-Men.Magneto can also use his force fields to hit or trap an enemy, and also levitate objects and beings in the air.
  • Magnetic Armor: In addition to the obvious external force fields, Magneto can reinforce the metallic fibers of his uniform with magnetic fields, making his clothing like armor with a durability approaching adamantium. He can resist punches from superhumanly strong foes such as Namor or Colossus and remain conscious.
  • Magnetic Rays: Magneto has the ability to shoot powerful rays and electromagnetic pulses, and has shown this ability to destroy both metallic and nonmetallic objects. Magneto can also use this ability to seriously injure his enemies as he did with Storm.
  • Magnetic Flight: Magneto is capable of sustaining flight for very long distances and at varying speeds. Apocalypse, through attempting to replicate Magento’s power in Mystique, mentions Magneto interlaces with magnetic field lines in his immediate surroundings rather than along it. This was later confirmed by Beast and later Sinister who formed a temporary alliance to snap Mystique out of Apocalypse’s influence. However, in order to travel in space, Magneto requires and is limited by the interior capacity of his force field to breathe.
  • Geomagnetic Link: Magneto’s x-gene plays an important role in mediating tactile perception to Earth’s electromagnetic field. This trait remained even when rendered temporarily powerless by Lilandra. As it is effected, so is he. He knows instinctively all that happens to it.
  • Gravity Reduction: Magneto’s control over the magnetic and electromagnetic force is so refined that he can shut off gravity within a limited radius of himself by reversing the polarity of the earth’s own magnetic field.
  • Metal/Matter Manipulation: Magneto can manipulate metal at the atomic level and make it take different forms. Magneto also demonstrated the ability to indirectly manipulate non-metallic objects via metal ores they may contain, for example the huge island that Magneto levitated due to iron ore that were therein. Magneto is also capable of creating powerful electromagnetic fields capable of moving and manipulating nonmetallic objects, as well as levitating them (he can also do this via force fields).
  • Organic Iron Manipulation: Magneto can control the traces of iron within organic matter and can manipulate the iron-enriched blood-flow to one’s brain to potentially induce very limited effects. There are only 2.5 grams of iron in the bloodstream of a healthy human body and perhaps a gram at most in the rest of the body. As a reference, a penny weighs 2.5 grams. Magneto has used his magnetic abilities to extract the adamantium bonded to Wolverine’s skeletal structure.
  • Electromagnetic Sight: By concentrating, Magneto can perceive the world around himself as patterns of magnetic and electrical energy. He can perceive the natural electromagnetic auras given off by living beings.
  • Electromagnetic Spectrum Manipulation: Although Magneto’s primary power is magnetism, he can also project or manipulate any form of energy within the electromagnetic spectrum, though this is extremely tiring for him so he primarily sticks to magnetism. He can potentially shoot and absorb forms of electromagnetic radiation or energy, create intense heat as infrared radiation, and become invisible by deflecting visible light around his body. The electromagnetic spectrum includes visible light, radio waves, ultraviolet light, gamma rays, and x-rays — Magneto can project any of these to some extent, though doing so would dramatically tire him.
    • Electrokinesis: Magneto is capable of generating and projecting powerful bolts of electricity, due to his manipulation over the electromagnetic spectrum. He is capable of absorbing bolts of lightning, and projecting an electric aura around himself.
    • Wormhole Creation: Through an as of yet unknown application of his powers, Eric can open wormholes between two points in space and time in order to traverse the most impassible of distances most instantly.

Astral Projection (Possibly Formerly): Magneto has occasionally been said to be able to manifest an astral projection of himself. However, like all formerly attributed psychic powers, this has been retconned out of existence at least once, and hasn’t been used by Magneto since the “Silver Age” (chronologically speaking).

Telepathic Resistance: Magneto has trained himself extensively for fighting telepaths, and is resistant to telepathic attack. This training is similar to that given to the X-Men and New Mutants by Professor X, although the effects are further augmented with the aid of his helmet his strong will, and his own electromagnetic powers.

Abilities

Genius Intelligence: A mastermind, Magneto is a genius in various scientific fields. He is an expert in genetic engineering and mutation. He has created artificial living beings, mutated humans in order to give them superhuman powers, instilled genetic mind-control, created adult clones of human beings, and manipulated the genetic structures of those clones during their development. His discoveries in particle physics would revolutionize the field and place him among the giants of scientific history if they were to be revealed. He has designed magnetically-powered aircraft and spacecraft, space stations, an underground complex said to be a masterpiece of automated technology that would do Tony Stark or Reed Richards proud, complex robots and computers, magnetically-powered generators, and machines capable of nullifying mutant powers within a radius of several miles.

Multilingual: Magneto is fluent in English, French, Polish, Russian, Hebrew, Arabic, Ukrainian, German, and Yiddish

Heath Ledger as the JokerThe Joker

You can’t rely on anyone these days. You gotta do everything yourself. Don’t we? That’s okay. I came prepared. It’s a funny world that we live in. Speaking of which, you know how I got these scars?―The Joker

The Joker was a psychotic anarchist mastermind who portraying himself as an agent of chaos, who rose to power in the criminal underworld by thrusting Gotham City into turmoil and drawing Batman ever closer to crossing the fine line between heroism and vigilantism. Described as a “psychopathic, mass murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy”, he is potent in both mental combat and strategic planning, and his physique was defined by his clown makeup and gruesome Glasgow smile to add sick comedy to all his crimes and misdeeds.

Psychiatrist Harleen Quinzel eventually ponders whether the Joker may in fact be faking insanity so as to avoid the death penalty. As she tries to treat the Joker, he recounts a tale of an absent father and runaway mother to gain her sympathy. Falling in love, she allows him to escape Arkham several times before she is eventually exposed. Driven over the edge with obsession, she becomes the criminal Harley Quinn and the Joker’s closest sidekick.

Powers and Abilities

The Joker commits crimes with countless “comedic” weapons (such as razor-sharp playing cards, acid flowers, cyanide pies and lethal electric joy buzzers) and Joker Venom, also called “Happy Gas” by the Joker, a deadly poison that infects his victims with a ghoulish rictus grin as they die while laughing uncontrollably. This venom comes in many forms, from gas to darts to liquid poison, and has been his primary calling card from his first appearance till the present; he is immune to it. He even created his own utility belt to contain all his weapons

The Joker has moderate skill in hand to hand combat. Over the years it has been shown that although Batman is stronger, the Joker is faster and more agile. The Joker has been known to be able to hold his own in hand-to-hand combat against Batman, however every time he is subdued by Batman, it is through physical force. However, the Joker has proven to be very skilled in the area of martial arts as well, this being proven when beating Batman once in a fight without “cheating”. However, this skill in fighting can also be questioned, due to different artists having different interpretations of the Joker. In some cases, he is so weak, that Batman can take him down with a single punch, whilst in other cases, he has proven to be more than a match for the Dark Knight.

The Joker has cheated death numerous times, even in seemingly inescapable and lethal situations. Though he has been seen caught in explosions, been shot repeatedly, dropped from heights, electrocuted, etc., the Joker always manages to return fully alive and unscathed to wreak havoc again.

Basically, the Joker’s most powerful weapon is his mind and he is a cunning and manipulative intellect.

The Joker’s face is also damaged from massive scarring in the shape of a hideous smile.

The Kingpin

A man of great size, and even greater wealth, Wilson Fisk is one of the mainstays of the criminal underworld. Unanimously recognized as The Kingpin of Crime, Fisk controls nearly all organized crime families on the East Coast that are not Maggia-affiliated. As such, Fisk has run afoul of the majority of heroes in that region.

While possessing tremendous physical strength and resiliency, the power Fisk wields through his numerous gangs and criminal employees is even more daunting. An intelligent man, Fisk makes sure to never place himself in a situation in which the law can prove his responsibility for crimes, using middlemen and hired crooks to do his bidding.

While he does not discriminate in who he clashes with in his never-ending power quest, the three most common foils to his plans are Spider-Man, Daredevil and The Punisher.

Wilson Grant Fisk never had a normal childhood because of his overweight appearance and was known to be unpopular among other children. Fisk quickly became nothing more than a mere target for bullies and pity because of his pathetic status. Fisk would live his young life in reclusive who was forced into witnessing the normal lives of others, because of this Fisk would develop a unique perspective by using others to meet his own needs. This was the very first step towards Fisk’s criminal career that followed him throughout his entire life. Dedicated to be the best there was, Fisk would find himself committing his first murder at the age twelve and strongly believed that brute strength was the only way to become successful within the criminal underworld. Instantly Fisk trained himself in body-building and sumo to build his body and strength that eventually turned the young Fisk into a massive force of brute strength for his young age. Fisk would also build his education by learning from various stolen books and taking a strong interest within Political Science. With the combined strength and knowledge, Fisk quickly became a dominating force over the local gangs who intimidated other unwilling children and bullies into joining his gang. Displaying uncanny leadership abilities and organization skills has found itself earning Fisk the nickname known as “Kingpin of Crime”, a title that he gained as a teenager.

Fisk’s brutal and successful reputation would finally catch the attention of other well-known crime bosses within New York City. After finding himself impressed with Fisk’s gained reputation, crime boss Don Rigoletto recruited Fisk to serve as his personal right-hand man. But Fisk’s dedication to be the best eventually found Fisk killing Rigoletto and taking over his gang as his own. Fisk now became the most feared and successful crime lords within New York City.

Successfully building his gang into an army, Fisk carefully planned and plotted his goals behind scenes and further away from the laws reach. As Fisk’s reputation began to grow with wealth, influence, and power, so did the competition with other well-known gangs, mostly the Maggia. Later Fisk decided to hide his criminal campaign by investing his wealth as a legitimate businessman after investing in spice from the far east. With crime slowly building up within the streets, nobody would ever suspect that the humbled spice dealer was the actual leader of the events and that the business helped Fisk increase his wealth to take down other competitive gangs. It would be during this time where Fisk met the young Vanessa and both Fisk and Vanessa would instantly fall in love and later be married. Fisk would be emotionally moved by Vanessa to where he was finally at peace from his struggle for power. A year later Vanessa would give birth to Richard Fisk, who desperately tried to hide the child from his father’s criminal activities. With Richard growing up in a life where his father constantly despised him because of how he saw him weak and pathetic, Vanessa would send Richard to Europe to attend schooling and further avoid him from her husband’s abusiveness and criminal lifestyle. It would be after Richard graduated from school where he remained in Europe and faked his death in an attempt to cease his connections with his family. After receiving news of his son’s death, even though Fisk suspected foul play, he still hid the news from his wife.

As a businessman, Fisk found himself in competition with one his own partner who was a Cheyenne known as Willie Lincoln A.K.A. Crazy Horse. Killing the man in order to advance in his position, Fisk would adopt Crazy Horse’s daughter, Maya Lopez as his own child after recognizing her display of photographic reflexes. Fisk would later find himself sending Maya to a special school where she would spend great portion of her life under Fisk’s distant supervision. As Fisk’s influence began to rise, so did the costume heroes that would later be a threat for Fisk’s reputation. Almost encountering Spider-man after hiring a mutant girl to sabotage a construction side, Fisk would see an opportunity with the rising heroes. Recognizing how careless their battles with villains are when destroying valuable property and possessions, alongside with Tony Stark and Anne-Marie Hoag, all three would form the government operated Damage Control. Stark would later sell his share of the company after feeling uneasy with partnering with Fisk after learning his secret reputation. Later Fisk would drop out from Damage Control and take his share with him, leaving Anne-Marie as the sole founder.

Doctor Doom Image result for dr doom

Victor was the child of Gypsy travelers in Latveria, a small European country. Victor’s mother, Cynthia, was killed soon after she called upon the demon Mephisto for power. She left Victor with his father, asking him to protect him from Mephisto. Victor’s father, Werner, was a doctor who was called upon by King Vladimir of Latveria to treat his wife. Unable to do so, Werner fled with Victor and died soon afterward trying to protect his son. Victor was left with his father’s best friend Boris. Victor later discovered his mother’s mystical books and artifacts. With them he was able to teach himself sorcery. He made several unsuccessful attempts to free his mother’s soul from Mephisto.

Victor excelled in science, developed several inventions, and was eventually given a scholarship to Empire State University. While attending this school Victor met Reed Richards, who would later become his enemy, Mr. Fantastic. In school, they were considered scholarly rivals. One day, Victor designed an invention to rescue his mother which would become his greatest downfall. Richards attempted to warn Victor of an error in his calculations. However, Von Doom’s arrogance refused to let him listen. The machine then exploded, scarring his face, and led to his expulsion from the university.

Von Doom later went to Tibet and found an old order of monks. He practiced their ways enough for him to become their leader. Von Doom then asked them to make his first suit of armor. Eager to wear the suit, Doom placed the still-hot steel faceplate to his face, making him even more scarred than before. As Dr. Doom, he then killed Baron Vladimir and imprisoned his son Rudolfo, and gained control over Latveria. Rudolfo would escape and lead a rebellion and become a thorn in Doom’s side for years till his death. Later, Rudolfo’s younger brother Zorba would take over where his brother left off. Doom using his intellect and inventions, turned Latveria into a thriving nation

During his youth, he fell in love with a woman named Valeria, but she declined his advances. He made a pact with the Hazareth Three, which involved sacrificing her in order to gain more power. This act is generally considered to be the precursor to a new Dr. Doom who regretted the crime against Valeria. It is stated to be the reason for Doom naming Reed’s daughter Valeria, after the woman he truly loved but killed. He considers himself to be the self-appointed guardian of young Valeria as he feels this is the way he can atone for the death of his love. However, Marvel has not mentioned exactly what triggered this emotional sentiment in Doom to bring back the memory of Valeria. He became trapped in Hell when he was tricked by the Fantastic Four and Dr. Strange.

When Mjolnir was floating and passing through all realities, it made a hole in hell for Doom to escape. When Mjolnir landed on Earth, Doom tried to claim it, but he was unworthy. He later returned to Latveria and rediscovered his magical heritage to defeat his enemies. He later welcomed Atlanteans to Latveria when their kingdom was destroyed and later aligned himself with Loki to plot against Thor and the release of Asgard’s enemies.

Doom then faced the Mighty Avengers after he released Symbiote from one of his satellites. When Iron Man, Sentry, and Doom were fighting, they were suddenly brought back to the past. The three had to work together to get back to the present by using Mr. Fantastic’s time machine from that time line. But when they got back, Doom sent Iron Man to a time when his castle was only moments away from exploding. With Iron Man out of the way, he easily defeated the Avengers. Iron Man however, managed to escape in the nick of time. That, combined with Spider-Woman’s breakout from Doom’s prison proved to be the start of his downfall and Doom was finally apprehended.

The transfer overload to Doom damaged his brain and left him severely diminished in mental capacity. He called for Kristoff from exile to take his place until he could find a way to return his intelligence. Meanwhile, A future version of Franklin Richards had warned Valeria Richards that there was an upcoming problem and that ‘All Hope Lies in Doom.’ The Fantastic Four had disbanded after the seeming death of the Human Torch, and so it was of the essence to bring Doom in the fold. When Valeria arrived to ask for Doom’s help, she noticed that he was struggling to follow her words and she learned that he was recently brain damaged. In exchange for his help to save her father, she offered to find a way to restore his intelligence.

Powers and Abilities

Sorcery: Doctor Doom’s potential in the mystic arts comes from the Roma (i.e. Gypsies) heritage of his mother. He learned these abilities from his time with a secret order of monks in Tibet. He further developed his abilities by traveling through time and learning lost Dark Arts. Doctor Strange originally considered him magically proficient but only a mid-level mage, but now considers Doom one of the most powerful practitioners of sorcery and a potential Sorcerer Supreme. His knowledge and power is great enough to hold his own against the likes of Morgan le Fay and Doctor Voodoo, the current Sorcerer Supreme. His knowledge of spell-craft likely surpasses Doctor Strange’s, former Sorcerer Supreme. However, he considers his scientific abilities to be more important and has devices that do many of the same things. In Marvel Avengers Alliance, Doctor Doom displayed some magical abilities such as Magic Bolt, Ring Imperial, and Steal Essence.

He has displayed sorcery in the following ways:

  • Mystical Blasts
  • Mystical Force-fields
  • Invoke Entities
  • Spell Casting
  • Summoning
  • Teleportation
  • Dimensional Travel
  • Mystical Ensnaring
  • Mystical Portals

Mind Transference: By training with an alien race, Doom has gained the ability to switch his mind with that of another nearby human being with whom he’s made eye contact, a process which he learned from the alien Ovoids. However, Doom prefers his own body and only uses this transference power as a last resort.

Doom has also displayed mind control abilities by hypnotizing his victim.

Genius-level Intellect: Doctor Doom’s most dangerous weapon is his genius-level intellect. He is easily one of the top mortal minds on the planet. Doom has constructed hundreds of devices, including a working time machine (the first of its kind on Earth), devices which can imbue people with superpowers, and many types of robots. His most frequently used robots are his “Doombots,” exact mechanical replicas of the real Doctor Doom. They look like him, talk like him, and even act like him. Individually, Doombots have an advanced AI (artificial intelligence) so that each one believes itself to be the real Doom. As a safety measure, each Doombot has a dampener program that is triggered whenever the real Doom (or another Doombot) is nearby. These “body doubles” appear when Doom cannot be present or is unwilling to risk his own life, and are often responsible for Doom’s return from certain death. Another common type of robot used is the Servo-Guard, the police force of Latveria. Doom specializes in physics, robotics, cybernetics, genetics, weapons technology, biochemistry, and time travel. He also has natural talents for leadership, strategy, politics, and manipulation.

Superhuman Strength: While in his armor, Doom can lift up to 2 tons.

Cosmic powers: Doctor Doom has been known to be in possession of a vast number of different cosmic devices. Some of these devices are the Makluan rings, the cosmic cube, and two Infinity Gauntlets. He also seems to know a lot about these devices.

  • Hair: Brown

Weapons and Equipment

Armor:

Doom’s armor contains many gadgets. His armor is on par with Iron Man Armor. Typically, his armor contains a strength augmentation apparatus, which allows him to bench up to nearly 100 tons, concealed waist-rockets, a concealed jet pack, twin nuclear power generators, a device to electrify the exterior of the suit, laser blasters in each gauntlet, a force field, protective visors, an air supply, and various kinds of sensors, such as infrared. However, Doom has also customized his armor at various times, to include such gadgets as boot-rockets, a gauntlet-concealed hypnosis device, etc. These are the various accessories and capabilities of his armor:

Enhanced Strength: Gives Dr. Doom the ability to lift (press) a couple of tons.

Durability: The armor is fashioned of a high-strength titanium alloy.

Video Communicator: Built into the right wrist is a video communicator, which he can use to stay in contact with his bases from any point on Earth.

Electric Shock: The outer surface of the armor can generate a massive electric shock on command. In Marvel Avengers Alliance, Dr. Doom is shown to generate an Arc Lightning ability similar to an electric shock.

Jetpacks: The typical suit of armor has twin jet-packs mounted at the waist, though other suits (or modifications of the original suit) contain a single jet-pack mounted on the back.

Concussive Blasts: Concussive bolts of force can be fired from the gauntlets and faceplate of the armor, though the mask only generates force blasts when it is not being worn.

Forcefield: The suit’s best defense is the force-field generated by the armor, which has a maximum radius of eight feet (and so can encompass others); Doom cannot attack without lowering his force-field.

Infrared Vision: Infrared scanners in the helmet allow the wearer to detect heat sources, permitting night vision and the ability to see invisible persons (unless they do not give off or can somehow mask their heat signature).

Recycling System: The armor is self-supporting, equipped with internal stores and recycling systems for air, food, water, and energy, allowing the wearer to survive lengthy periods of exposure underwater or in outer space.

Sensor Systems: Optical scanners in the helmet allow the helmet’s eyepieces to be used as high-powered telescopes, and parabolic ear amplifiers fitted inside the helmet allow Doom to detect extremely faint sounds and unusual frequencies within the audible range for humans.

Solar Energy Absorption: A thermo-energizer allows the armor to absorb and store solar and heat energy, and use it to power the armor’s other systems; this system can only be used while the force-field is deactivated.

Loki

Loki was a prince of Asgard and the God of Mischief. He was Thor’s adopted brother and the first en

Loki himself was not a member of the Asgardians, but was actually the son of Laufey, the deceased monarch of the Frost Giants, the ancient enemies of the Asgardians. Years ago, while Bor, ruler of Asgard, was battling Frost Giants, he followed a wounded giant to a powerful sorcerer that was waiting for him (who was actually the present day incarnation of Loki in disguise), and knowing he could not match Bor power for power, caught him unawares turning him into snow. Bor’s son, Odin, came around just in time to watch the last of him blown away and he begged Odin to find a sorcerer to free him.

Years passed, and Odin did not attempt to save his father, instead leading Asgard on his own and following his own dreams. At first, Bor attempted to convince his son to free him and finally, Bor promised Odin that he would bother him no more if he took in the son of a fallen king and raised it as his own. Not a week later, Odin himself led the Asgardians into battle against the Frost Giants and killed Laufey, who was a king, in personal combat. After slaying Laufey, Odin found a small Asgardian-sized child hidden within the primary stronghold of the Frost Giants. The child was Loki and Laufey had kept him hidden from his people due to his shame over his son’s small size. Odin took the boy, out of a combination of pity, to appease his father, and because he was the son of a worthy adversary slain in honorable combat and raised him as his son alongside his biological son, Thor, and set the events of his own doom into motion. What Odin never realized was that the Bor who had been torturing him from beyond the grave was actually just an illusion created by the present-day Loki.

Throughout their childhood and into adolescence, Loki was resentful of the differences in which he and Thor were treated by the citizens of Asgard. The Asgardians valued great strength, tenacity, and bravery in battle above all things and Loki was clearly inferior to his foster brother Thor in these areas. However, Loki’s gifts lay in other areas, most notably sorcery. Loki possessed a natural affinity to command great magical forces and hoped to somehow use these powers to become the most powerful god in all of Asgard and to destroy Thor.

As Loki grew to adulthood, his natural talent for causing mischief would manifest itself and earned himself a nickname as the God of Mischief. However, instead of playing harmless pranks, his deeds grew steadily more malicious and his lust for both power and revenge was apparent to all those around him. In time, his nickname grew from being a playful and mischievous trickster god to the “God of Evil”.

Over the centuries, Loki would try to seize Asgard and to destroy Thor on many occasions. Odin, who had long tolerated Loki’s attempts, magically imprisoned Loki within a tree. Loki would eventually free himself from his prison and his thirst for power and vengeance became even more consuming than it had ever been, if that were even possible. During the late 1940’s Loki appeared to have been exiled from Asgard and had aligned himself with several dwarfs, trolls, and demons named after Olympian Gods. During that period he also stalked Venus for a time.

Loki and Thor would clash more and more times, sometimes with Loki confronting Thor directly and sometimes using various pawns in order to achieve his ends. Among Loki’s more well known henchmen was the human criminal Carl “The Crusher” Creel, whom Loki would use his sorcery to transform into the superhuman criminal known as The Absorbing Man, who himself would prove to be a formidable adversary to Thor over the years. Loki would even go so far as to attempt to turn Odin against Thor and to steal Thor’s enchanted hammer, Mjölnir, all of which failed.

Loki’s schemes would eventually come to include Earth itself and these schemes would often draw some of Earth’s superhuman heroes to defend Earth and, often, Asgard itself. Loki was able to manipulate the Hulk into wreaking havoc and, accidentally, would lead to the formation of the Avengers. To make matters worse, Thor would be one of the founding members of the superhuman team and often found himself undone by them, many times, even when it seemed that his goals were within his grasp.

However, despite Loki’s loathing for Thor and Odin, Loki would help to defend Asgard from destruction from Surtur and his fire demons. However, this was only because Surtur’s goal was to destroy Asgard and Loki sought only to rule it.

As a WomanImage result for Loki Comics Female Character

After Thor returned, he started a quest to find the other Asgardians. After finding Heimdall and the Warriors Three he stepped up the search. Heimdall guided him to the southwest where dozens of humans were being jailed by the Destroyer. Loki had collected all of his former Asgardian allies, and Thor fell for the trap, restoring them all to their full power. Loki himself had been reborn as a female. She claimed to have no more plans now that Ragnarök was over. Time would tell if her schemes to rule had been truly set aside.

Having told Balder that she would never lie again, Loki proceeded to win the Asgardians’ trust by revealing that he, like Thor, was a son of Odin. Balder didn’t believe, but once he was told it was true by Thor himself, he had come to think of Loki as a trustworthy confidant. During the Skrull invasion, she managed to goad a mob of Asgardians into thinking that Beta Ray Bill was a Skrull impostor.

Powers and Abilities

Powers

Despite being a member of the Frost Giants, Loki possesses similar attributes to those possessed by the Asgardians.

Sorcery:Loki has the ability to generate and control a great quantity of mystical abilities for a variety of purposes, of which can be used to further enhance or augment his physical diagram, like his speed, strength, and stamina, but only temporarily. Being a telekinetic, Loki can influence the movement of objects and people with his mind, and as such, this power proves to be devastating and chaotic in nature. His known abilities include the ability to fire powerful beams of concussive force, generate highly durable force fields, bestow superhuman attributes to living beings or inanimate objects, or teleport across dimensions. He can also bring inanimate objects to life, or mystically imbue objects or beings with specific but temporary powers. He has, for example, augmented the might of human criminals as the Cobra and Sandu. These magical effects remain only for as long as he maintains the spell that created them. Loki’s power has been said by the Silver Surfer during their early encounters as sufficient to “decimate a planet,” and according to Dormammu, Loki’s magic nearly rivals that of his own

Regenerative Healing Factor: Like all Asgardians, Loki, although he is inhumanly durable, at least by human standards, can still obtain injury, also like all Asgardians, his metabolism enables him to rapidly regenerate damaged tissue much faster and more extensively than a human being. However, through the use of his sorcery, Loki’s ability to heal himself is far above that of other Asgardians. His magical energies are so imbued into his body that he can reattach severed limbs and, while still a male, even reattached his own head at least once.

Superhuman Strength: Loki, without the aid of anything, through his own biology, possesses superhuman strength that is substantially superior to that of an average Asgardian female or male. In fact, Loki is currently stronger now than he was while male. He possesses sufficient physical strength to lift up to 50 tons. It is possible, however, that she can further increase his strength through mystical enchantment on a temporary basis. While as a male Loki was still superhumanly strong as an average Asgardian male, he was strong enough to lift 30 tons , however his strength could be increased through mystical enchantment also.

Superhuman Stamina: Loki’s Frost Giant metabolism grants him superhuman levels of physical stamina in practically all activities. He can exert himself at peak capacity for about 24 hours before fatigue begins to impair him. However, much like his physical strength and durability, Loki can temporarily augment his stamina through magical means.

Superhumanly Dense Tissue: Like all Asgardians, Loki’s bodily tissues have roughly 3 times the density of the same tissues in a human being. While he has the looks and physical proportions of a much smaller person, the increased density of his body actually makes him several hundred pounds heavier than he appears. This increased density also contributes to his superhuman strength to a limited degree.

Superhuman Durability: The tissues of Loki’s body are superhumanly durable and are roughly equal to those possessed by the average Asgardian male. However, at times, Loki had imbued himself with magical abilities that enable him to withstand injuries that would prove fatal to another Asgardian. He is able to withstand high caliber bullets, falls from great heights, powerful impact forces, exposure to temperature extremes and powerful energy blasts without being injured.

Superhuman Longevity: Like all Asgardians, Loki ages at a far slower rate than humans. However, unlike some other god pantheons like the Olympians, who stop aging completely at a certain point, Loki isn’t fully immune to aging. Although he has recently been “reborn”, he still has his memories of his previous life. While he is several millenia old, at least, he has the appearance and vitality of a young Asgardian man in his physical prime. Loki is immune to the effects of all known Earthly diseases and infections.

Sorcery: Loki has the ability to generate and control a great quantity of mystical abilities for a variety of purposes, of which can be used to further enhance or augment his physical diagram, like his speed, strength, and stamina, but only temporarily. His magical abilities are equal to Karnilla, the most skilled sorceress in the Asgardian dimension. Being a telekinetic, Loki can influence the movement of objects and people with his mind, and as such, this power proves to be devastating and chaotic in nature. His known abilities include the ability to fire powerful beams of concussive force, generate highly durable force fields, bestow superhuman attributes to living beings or inanimate objects, or teleport himself or others across dimensions. He can also bring inanimate objects to life, or mystically imbue objects or beings with specific but temporary powers. He has, for example, augmented the might of human criminals as the Cobra and Sandu. These magical effects remain only for as long as he maintains the spell that created them. Loki has also once cursed Deadpool with an indestructible Tom Cruise’s face, which proved to be powerful enough to withstand being run over by a train and direct contact with a nuclear rod without receiving a single scratch. He has also once used his magic to turn Invisible Woman’s psionic shields against herself. Loki’s power has been said by the Silver Surfer during their early encounters as sufficient to “decimate a planet”.

  • Psionics: Loki has demonstrated powerful psionic capabilities, the full limits of which aren’t known. He has demonstrated the ability to project his thoughts telepathically across great distances as well as potent hypnotic capabilities. He is able to communicate with beings telepathically, though his ability to do so is greater with beings that serve him.
  • Shape-shifting: Like a number of gods or goddesses, Loki possesses highly developed shape-shifting capabilities. He is able to adopt almost any form imaginable whether it be animals, other humanoid beings, or even inanimate objects. The thought has been raised that his current form is merely a shape Loki has decided to remain in. Despite this well-known ability of Loki’s, he has commented to himself, as he struggled to escape from Dormammu’s mystic cage, that this is his “most soul-draining” power, apparently meaning it is more taxing than his other magical abilities. He has become such animals such as a snake, eagle, mouse and bee, gaining the basic natural abilities inherent in each form. While he can take on the likeness of another god, giant or human, he will not necessarily gain the special physical or mental powers of the being he imitates. Loki can also transform external objects into other forms and substances by magic; for instance, he has turned clouds into dragons.

Abilities

  • Intelligence: Loki has a genius level intellect and possesses a great deal of knowledge of the mystic arts. He is also extremely cunning and skilled, an expert battle strategist, and highly skilled and charismatic manipulator, which is evident by the ease how Loki repeatedly succeeded to regain the trust of his fellow Asgardians, despite his numerous crimes.
  • Allspeak: Thanks to the Allspeak Loki can communicate in all of the languages of the Nine Realms, Earth’s dialects, and various alien languages.
  • Skilled Combatant: Loki is a formidable combatant in his own right, particularly as a swordsman or in the use of his various energy manipulative powers in combat situations, enough to hold his own against Thor on numerous occasions and beat the Dìsir into (literal) submission.

Equipment

Loki occasionally employs certain mystical power objects, such as the Norn Stones rare Asgardian herbs, to augment his own magical powers. These objects or substances are generally used to enhance his immediate personal strength or abilities, or to create a permanent mystical transformation, such as that which gave the Absorbing Man his power. He once used the mystical sword of Surtur along with various Asgardian equipment to transform Thor into a frog while Loki was in Asgard and Thor was on Earth. The destruction of the engine drawing power from the sword resulted in Thor regaining his true form.

  • Weapons: A magic sword, known in Norse mythology as Laevateinn, which means “wounding wand”.

Weaknesses

  • Magic limitations: Loki’s powers are believed to at least be slightly weaker on Midgard than on Asgard, as his birth was not of Gaea, and even Odin’s magic was on the wane on Earth. Also, while apparently possessing some extrasensory abilities that resemble psionic powers, Loki can not directly read the minds of other beings, nor can he control their actions.
  • Superiority inferiority complex: Loki’s ambition has proven to be his greatest flaw, as his passionate hatred of Thor, lust for power, and his tendency to alienate himself through his ignoble actions greatly impedes his ability to bring his well laid plans to fruition. Also, as noticed by Apocalypse, Loki has poor understanding of human nature, which leads him to severely underestimate his mortals (earthly) opponent’s, resulting into humiliating defeat.

VenomImage result for Venom

The Venom Symbiote bonded with Spider-Man during his adventure on Battleworld. Initially he thought the symbiote was just a costume, however upon his discovery that it was sentient, he rejected it. Since then, the Venom symbiote has bonded with several different hosts.

Venom is of a race of alien symbiotes that are formed from a thick, liquid, organic material. They, as their symbiotic nature suggests, depend on other beings to help them sustain their life force. In exchange for this relationship, the symbiote offers great powers to its host. Unfortunately for the host, the symbiotes are not keen on the idea of separating and eventually start to fully consume both mind and body of their hosts. Removal of the symbiote is often only possible through the usage of strong sound waves produced from intensely loud and sustained noises.

Eddie Brock had been a successful columnist for the newly revived Daily Globe until he began writing a series of articles about the ” Sin-Eater murders”. A bogus offender had confessed to Brock about committing the murders. While protecting the murderer’s identity under the First Amendment, Brock wrote a series of stories in the Globe detailing his dialogue with the supposed killer, until mounting pressure from the authorities forced him to write an exclusive revealing the murderer’s name. Although that edition of the paper sold out immediately, Spider-Man soon revealed the true identity of the Sin-Eater to be Detective Stan Carter, making Brock a laughingstock among his fellow journalists. Fired from the Daily Globe, he was forced to write venomous drivel for scandal newspapers. Brock’s wife left him, and his future appeared to be over. Brock blamed his predicament on Spider-Man.

Soon after, Brock began an intense physical workout program hoping to reduce the stress his life had become. However, such physical exertions only increased his violent obsession with Spider-Man. Although his body had been honed to near-perfection, Brock’s mind was reduced to an all-consuming vessel of hatred. It was this fierce emotion that attracted the empathic parasite. In order to survive, the alien costume had to feed off the nearest and greatest source of emotion. The Symbiote joined mentally and physically with Brock, whose emotions overwhelmed the already confused alien. The dominant thought on both their minds was that of Spider-Man. But Brock’s sheer hatred for the crime fighter twisted the Symbiote’s feelings to a similar extent. In effect, Brock’s emotions drove the Symbiote insane, just as their bonding may have driven Brock over the edge. Brock soon discovered that the costume gave him all the powers of Spider-Man, and more. It also added bulk to his already large frame and increased his strength to superhuman levels. Calling himself ” Venom,” Brock directed the costume to sprout a hideous grin and plotted his revenge. Through the costume, Venom learned a great deal about Spider-Man, including his secret identity.

Brock taunted Peter Parker with minor assaults, such as pushing him in front of a moving subway train. The alien costume could cancel out the wall-crawler’s spider-sense presumably by projecting conflicting frequencies upon Spider-Man’s brain waves. Venom finally made a bold move when he confronted Parker’s wife, Mary Jane, at their old Chelsea apartment. Although Venom’s twisted sense of morality did not allow him to physically harm Mary Jane, Spider-Man immediately realized the nature of this threat. Taking the time to retrieve the sonic blaster from the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man challenged Venom at Our Lady of Saints Church. Although he fired the blaster at Venom, Spider-Man soon discovered that the Symbiote could not be separated from Brock because it had completely bonded with him. Trying to escape and rethink his options, Spider-Man was caught unaware by Venom. He captured Spider-Man and secured him to the inside of the church bell with a considerable amount of webbing. Spider-Man narrowly escaped the bell’s crushing clapper before defeating Venom by forcing him to deplete his webbing supply, of which the alien Symbiote was actually comprised. Before the alien could regenerate enough of its mass to become a renewed threat, Spider-Man brought Venom to the Fantastic Four who imprisoned him in a sonic containment cell. The Fantastic Four then shipped Venom to the government super-prison in the Colorado Rockies called the Vault. A young guard named Hugh Taylor who had just been assigned to the Vault was fooled into thinking that Venom was a fallen colleague and released the gate mechanism, which imprisoned the criminal. Venom killed the naive guard and escaped to New York City, where he once again confronted Spider-Man. This time Spider-Man used psychological warfare upon Venom, by taunting the alien Symbiote to return to him. The alien, torn by its love-hate relationship for Spider-Man, tried to leave Brock and to re-establish its link with its original owner. But the trauma of trying to detach itself from Brock’s nervous system was too much to bear. The alien costume and Eddie Brock were both knocked unconscious and were subsequently returned to the Vault, where they were incarcerated. Since then, Venom has gone through many changes.

The next fight, Venom went after Spider-Man around the same time Jonathon Caesar, an insane and obsessed fan of Mary Jane Watson-Parker, sent two mercenaries Styx and Stone after the wallcrawler. Venom unintentionally became involved in the plot when the two attempted to follow him through the sewers in the hope of finding Spider-Man. Unfortunately for them, Venom escaped the sewers in his human guise. After yet another fight with Spider-Man, Styx and Stone found the two and attempted to kill Spider-Man. Fortunately for Spidey, albeit in a bad way, Venom would not allow anyone else to kill Spider-Man, save himself. Attacking the two, the fight ensued, before Styx, the living cancer, touched his Symbiote, killing it in the process. With the Symbiote seemingly dead, Eddie Brock was sent to a normal prison. However, later, it was revealed the Symbiote was merely sent into a comatose state, seemingly immune to Earthly diseases. Returning to Eddie Brock, the two easily escaped. In the breakout, however, the suit left a small spawn behind it, which would bond with Eddie’s cell mate, Cletus Kasady. No one would know about this for months. Eddie brought Spider-Man to an island in the Caribbean, away from people and innocents, in the hope of killing him alone. However, Spider-Man later realized that Venom would only be happy if he knew that Spider-Man was dead. Faking his death, Spider-Man made Venom believe that he had died. Happy at last, Venom thought there was no reason to return to civilization, having all he needed on the island, and stayed there.

Dying of cancer, Eddie Brock decided to auction for charity to the highest bidder the alien symbiote from which he derives his powers as Venom.

Mac Gargan

The Symbiote passed on to Mac Gargan, the Scorpion, and offered him additional powers. He agreed and Mac became the next host of the Venom Symbiote which he thought will give him the advantage he needs in defeating Spider-Man as well as being apart of the Sinister Twelve. But he was still defeated by Spider-Man with the help of other heroes. Even though he was incarcerated, it didn’t hinder him as with his new powers he would be respected more as a powerful villain. He was later abducted by the Beyonder to participate yet again in another Secret War, but it was really the Stranger in disguise. During this events he thought he had killed Spider-Man but it was really the Space Phantom. All the participants were able to escape from the crumbling planet thanks to Gravity’s sacrifice, he is seen mourning for his death.

Gargan later becomes a member of a sub-group of the Thunderbolts, which has been drafted by the Avengers to hunt down the members of the fugitive Secret Avengers and is currently run by the Commission for Superhuman Activities. It is then revealed that he has been outfitted with electrical implants by the government to keep the Symbiote in check. As a Thunderbolt, he is seen as a hero by the general public and has his own action figures. Gargan displays his new raw power as Venom in a battle with Jack Flag, after pummeling Flag for a bit, the hero manages to stab Gargan, who is protected by his Symbiote.

During the period where Otto Octavius had successfully replaced Peter Parker and taken over his body to become the Superior Spider-Man, he came into conflict with Agent Venom. Believing that Thompson posed a threat to his ruse, Octavius set out to kill him. Thompson survived their first battle and was able to escape, but the Symbiote was injured by Octavius’ advanced weaponry.

Octavius later used his disguise as Peter to lure Flash into a trap, promising that he could give him the ability to walk again. While his machine did indeed give Flash advanced cybernetic legs, it also forcibly separated him from the Symbiote, which quickly grew scared and violent in the absence of its host. Lashing out, it bonded with Octavius, creating a new entity dubbed Superior Venom.Image result for superior venom

The Symbiote’s influence heightened Octavius’ already grandiose sense of self-worth, causing him to arrogantly believe that he could control the Symbiote despite Peter’s failure to do so years earlier. While stopping a bank robbery, Superior Venom came into conflict with the Avengers, resulting in a massive battle. In the end, Iron Man was able to help Thompson separate the Symbiote from Octavius, allowing the two to become Agent Venom once again. Octavius was also able to cover up some of his villainous behavior by claiming that he’d been infected by Venom spores several months prior.

Lee Price

After being purified and rendered benevolent on it its home planet, the Symbiote and Thompson returned to New York when the Guardians of the Galaxy visited Earth during the second superhuman Civil War. The Symbiote was somehow separated from Thompson, and wandered the streets of New York in search of a new host. It eventually stumbled upon Lee Price, a troubled young man, who like Thompson, was a disabled military veteran.

Sensing Price’s similarities to Thompson, the Symbiote bonded with him, not realizing that unlike Flash, Lee was a violent and amoral criminal. The resulting merger created a Venom similar to the original Eddie Brock version.

Birth of A New Venom

During the Siege of Asgard Mac Gargan is separated from the Venom symbiote (later becoming the Scorpion once again). The symbiote fall into the possession of the US government and was contained in a secret government base controlled by the Department of Homeland Security. The DHS was inclined to use the symbiote to create a new super-powered soldier to help protect the country. After trying and failing to bond the symbiote with another host, resulting in the candidate’s death, the government decided to approach another candidate. Around this time Flash was approached by the Department of Homeland Security as a candidate to be bonded with the parasitic alien in order to create a new super soldier. Flash agreed and became Agent Venom, controlling the suit with a combination of sedatives and strength of will. The Government put strict limits on Flash’s role as Venom, telling him that he would only be allowed to serve as Venom for twenty missions in total—that after he had served his time he would never be allowed contact with the symbiote again. This rule was intended to prevent the development of addictive behavior regarding use of the suit. Given drugs to control the symbiote and suppress its personality, Flash Thompson became one of the government’s covert men in the battle against evil. While having the abilities of Spider-Man—amplified even beyond Parker’s strength levels—Flash Thompson set out to simply survive all twenty missions without surrendering control to the Venom symbiote.

Flash’s first mission sent him to the nation of Nrosvekistan. He was assigned to find Doctor Ferid Ekmecic and capture him. While on the mission he discovered a woman and her baby who had wandered into the line of fire. He saved the pair by leading them to safety, but just when he was about to capture the doctor he encountered the new Jack O’ Lantern who then incapacitated him and escaped with the doctor while Flash gave pursuit. While fighting Jack, Flash began to lose control of the suit, but while the villain had him pinned to the ground Flash managed to throw a live grenade into his mask, blowing his jaw off. Jack survived this and attempted to complete his mission by escaping with the doctor. As Jack was flying away, Flash made the decision to kill the doctor by snapping his neck with webbing. When Flash returned to base, his commanding officer General Dodge dressed him down for losing control of the suit. Later, when Flash finally made it back home, he found Betty Brant in tears, having waited for him for six hours late for a date they’d planned together. With Flash being unable to explain his whereabouts and tardiness due to the secrecy of his status as Venom, Betty assumed that he was drinking again and slammed the door in his face. With Flash Thompson as the new Venom, he has began to work for his country once again. Most know that Flash lost his legs in war years ago and that he left the Military. Now, Flash has chose to serve his country again and become Venom. Trying to remove all of the tension between Venom and him being the greatest enemy of Spider-Man, Flash has been given drugs to control the evil Symbiote and the demon within himself.

However, the Symbiote is smarter than most seem to realize and has been able to break free of Flash’s control without dispatch’s knowledge. If dispatch did realize that Flash had lost control they would terminate both Flash and Venom. Flash is still trying maintain control and be a hero like that of his idol Spider-man.

When Blackheart attacked Las Vegas, Flash worked with X-23, the new Ghost Rider, and the Red Hulk to stop him. Briefly, Red Hulk was host to both the Ghost Rider and the Venom Symbiote.Thompson would later go on to join the Guardians of the Galaxy and visit the planet of the Symbiotes

Powers & Abilities

Symbiotes empower the natural abilities of a host to the point where they far exceed that of normal members of the hosts’ species. These abilities include the following superhuman strength(retains the strength from previous host), speed and agility, Super enhanced durability, resistance to damage and healing ability, genetic memory, recalling information from previous hosts. Can expand to any size as long as they have something to grow on such as a host or an object. Symbiotes can get inside of small areas such as electric wires and the insides of cars and completely disable them. The Symbiote also reacts to the thoughts and will of the host. When Spider-Man was originally selected, he had been thinking about Arachne’s costume. The Symbiote acted on this and formed a similar costume, the one seen on him and Venom. The Symbiote can sense the presence of other Symbiote within a certain distance and the ability to shape-shift, from mimicking clothing up to and including complete change of appearance and stature.

The Venom Symbiote has also adapted the spider powers from Spider-Man and has been inherited by its offspring such as the ability to cling on walls and produce an infinite amount of webbing from its own mass and the ability to bypass Spider-Man’s spider-sense. at his peak before contacting the symbiote he can lift (press) 700 lbs and As Venom Brock’s strength allows him to lift (press) 25 tons , stronger than Spider-Man himself (Before having the Anti-Venom Symbiote to lift 100 tons). Gargan can lift twice than Spider-Man he originally lift(press) 25 tons. The natural super-strength of Gargan combined with the strength of the symbiote allows him to lift(press) over 100 tons. The Symbiote allows the user shape-shifting abilities. Norman provided Gargan a medicine that allows the symbiote to return to it’s original form to mimic Spider-Man’s appearance. The medicine must be taken in between periods of times, or else the symbiote would take over Gargan. Gargan has the ability to switch between the Venom appearance and the smaller Spider-Man appearance.

Additionally, the symbiote is capable of healing injuries in the host at a faster rate than normal human healing allows. The symbiote is also capable of healing injuries and illnesses that current human medical care cannot such as cancer. The symbiote can also steal the powers and abilities of other beings, and it has been recently discovered the symbiote can recall and mimic the powers and abilities of previous hosts.

Weaknesses

The Venom symbiote, like almost all symbiotes, is highly vulnerable to sonics and intense heat. While the Venom symbiote has been able to endure fire and heat-based attacks and weaponry, sonics have always proven very effective against Venom. Extreme sound can cause the symbiote great pain.

Gargan becomes enraged and ferociously manhandles Flag, and is about to feast upon his flesh, when his electrical implants kick in and temporarily subdue him, allowing Flag to live. Gargan expresses fear of the control the Symbiote possesses over him, yet he has become addicted to the raw unearthly power it brings to him, and cannot begin to imagine life without it, similarly to a drug addict. Later, during an attack from Steel Spider, American Eagle and Sepulchre, Gargan loses control again, briefly becoming a huge monster once more, while Moonstone is incapacitated and thus cannot co-ordinate control of his electrical implants. Afterward, however, he returns to a normal form with no ill effects. Then, he bites off, and devours, Steel Spider’s arm during a fight. Later, the Thunderbolts goes after Spider-Man for being an unregistered hero and like everyone else, he has no memory of Spider-Man’s true identity, because of One More Day. When Venom and Spider-Man fought, Eddie Brock got into the skirmish and the Symbiote suddenly left Gargan to bond again to Brock, but his skin acted like a corrosive when the Symbiote tried to attached itself. White substance began to appear from Brock’s pores and became Anti-Venom. Anti-Venom battled Venom and seemingly “cleansed” Gargan of the Symbiote but also inadvertently cleansing Spider-Man remaining Symbiote within his body along with his spider powers. Venom appeared again to battle Anti-Venom, but this time he is wearing a scorpion armor to protect the recovering Symbiote. When Gargan was able to stabbed his stinger to Anti-Venom, the wound seemingly killed the Anti-Venom Symbiote and just as he was about to kill him, the Venom Symbiote stopped Gargan and said that it still had feelings for Brock and that he should live. Gargan vowed to kill Brock when he gets a chance, and Brock says the same.

Image result for galagtusGalactus is the famed “Devourer of Worlds” in the Marvel Universe. His powers are nearly omnipotent. He has appointed a number of entities as his Heralds, imbuing them with the Power Cosmic. He uses energy from the core of planets and universal sources to sustain himself. He has currently been changed into the Lifebringer, who restores life to the planets Galactus has destroyed.

Galactus is the sole survivor of a universe that existed prior to the current universe. Originally Galactus was a humanoid named Galan, who was born on the planet Taa, a paradise-like world whose civilization is said to have been the most advanced of any of the known universe of that time.

However, this universe was in its final stages of collapse. Originally, like all universes in the Multiverse, this universe had been a “Cosmic Egg”; a primal sphere of disorganized, dense, compact primordial matter. The sphere underwent a “Big Bang,” an explosion that hurled the matter outwards, where much of it eventually condensed into stars and planets. This universe expanded in size for billions of years, and then contracted, undergoing a “crunch” over the following billions of years. All of the matter of that universe was plunging towards a central point, where it was collapsing into a new “Cosmic Egg.”Taa’s civilization was one of the last still in existence. Lethal radiation caused by the “Big Crunch” this universe was experiencing was wiping out all life across the universe. Galan, a space explorer, was dispatched to travel through the cosmos to find a means of saving Taa, but he found none. The radiation eventually killed off all but a tiny fraction of the population of Taa. Knowing their deaths were inevitable, Galan proposed to the remaining survivors that they die gloriously by piloting one of their starships directly into the heart of the “Cosmic Egg.” As the starship containing Galan and his fellow survivors approached the focal point of the Big Crunch, the heat and radiation killed all the passengers except Galan, who strangely found himself filled with new energy.

Lifebringer

With the renewal of the universe after its destruction, a group of heroes known as the Ultimates started working on problems of cosmic scale that could endanger the universe. One of their first missions consisted of solving Galactus’ hunger.

The Ultimates retrieved Galactus’ Incubator and forced the devourer of worlds into it, so a new process of similar nature to the one that created Galactus could happen again. Said process was accelerated with Neutronium. After a flash of light and the Incubator’s destruction, Galactus emerged anew with a new purpose in life, he became a lifebringer. The first planet that Galactus restored was Archeopia, which had been the very same first victim of his hunger.

When the Ultimates attempted to exit the Omniverse in order to assess the damage time-travel had caused to it, Galactus was tasked by Eternity to stop them. After interrupting the Ultimates’ journey and sending them back to Earth, Galactus found himself outside the reach of the omniversal embodiment of Eternity, and discovered the truth Eternity wanted to prevent the Ultimates from knowing, that it was in chains.

Powers

Galactus possesses the immeasurable Power Cosmic and is one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe, having near-limitless godlike powers. He was once referred to as “the most awesome living entity in the cosmos.” Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet ranked him around the same level of power as Odin, Zeus, the Celestials, and the Stranger, but well below Master Order, Lord Chaos, Mistress Love, and Sire Hate, who in turn are well below Eternity and Infinity, who are well below the Living Tribunal.[48] After his fusion with his Earth-1610 counterpart and his reversion to the Life-Bringer at the hands of the Ultimates, Galactus power has increased and allowed him to defy Lord Chaos and Master Order at the same time. As such, Galactus is able to employ the cosmic energy within him to produce virtually any effect he desires. After devouring four planets, Galactus has been shown capable of fighting four Mad Celestials, and destroying one of them, although when they fused together into a powerful Voltron Celestial he was defeated. Galactus has also shown the ability to overcome Odin.

Galactus and his Heralds were stated to be cosmic level threats. He was stated to have an “Universal” threat level by the Nova Corps.

However, although his power is great, it is dependent on the amount of energy he has absorbed from planets. If he does not feed regularly, then it will run out, and he will weaken and starve to death. But now that his existential nature has been fundamentally changed by The Ultimates, Galactus had been fundamentally changed. Now that he’d been changed from the Devourer of Worlds to Lifebringer of Worlds, he’d been freed of his cosmic hunger, now a wellspont of cosmic energy Galactus emits life not consumes it.

A few of the abilities he displayed are:

  • Immortality: Galactus is said to be the oldest living entity; therefore people consider him as an ageless being.
  • God-level Strength: Galactus has demonstrated the potential for a solar scale of super strength.
  • God-level Stamina: Galactus can partake in physical strenuous action, like battles, for an undefined period of time, but absorbing the energy of a planet will only sustain him for a month, and using it will cause the time-span to lower dramatically, so he normally cannot fight for too long.
  • God-level Speed: Despite his size, Galactus can fly at speeds that greatly surpass the speed of light.
  • Invulnerability: Galactus is immune to all diseases, ailments, and toxins. In addition, he is enormously resistant to damage, he was able to survive from a planetary impact and nuclear arsenal, but was severely injured in the process. He emerged intact from a massive strike from Nega-Bombs. He has also stated that, much like Aegis and Tenebrous, he could not survive the forces of the Crunch. After Odin headbutted him from the outer atmosphere all the way to the planet Earth, he very swiftly recovered.
  • Energy Discharges: Galactus can project devastating energies powerful enough to destroy entire planets. After absorbing the energy from several planets, Galactus proved capable of destroying at least three solar systems. It has been speculated that Galactus might be able to destroy entire galaxies.
  • Energy Absorption: Arguably his most viable power, as his survival depends on absorbing the Life Force from planets or stars. During his fight with Mephisto, he showed that he is even capable of absorbing an entire domain. During his attack on the Ultimate Universe he also absorbed Vision’s Dark Matter-attacks.During the “Time Bubble”/”Black Celestial” alternative future story he was going to devour an entire 4-dimensional universal spacetime continuum, and grew larger than a galaxy.
  • Levitation: Galactus can traverse or glide through air and space using sheer willpower.
  • Size-Alteration: Galactus’s base height and weight will diminish when he is greatly in need of life-giving energy. Galactus has the ability to increase his size and mass at will, the extent of which is unknown. He once grew to a stature so great that he could wrestle with the Wraithworld sun.
  • Adapted Appearance: Although Galactus is usually represented in humanoid form, each sentient being perceives him having a form resembling their own. Hence, humans see Galactus as an enormous armor-clad humanoid, while an amoeba-like species, for example, would perceive Galactus in an enormous amoeba-like form. Although as Galan, Galactus was indeed a humanoid, his true current form is unknown.
  • Molecular Restructuring: Galactus can manipulate, reshape and rearrange the molecular complexions of any organism, allowing him to rebuild or redesign things internally.
  • Matter Transmutation: Being a cosmic being, Galactus can control matter in any object which allows him to turn something tangible like lead, into something intangible like water.
  • Teleportation: Galactus can make himself, other people, and objects appear anywhere in the entire universe that he wishes with a mere thought. He has even teleported the planet Galador from one galaxy to another.
  • Force-Fields: Galactus can erect near-impenetrable energy shields.
  • Interdimensional & Intradimensional Portals: He can create wormholes between dimensions and within dimensions.
  • Telepathy: Ability to read or communicate with other minds across universal distances
  • Telekinesis: Ability to move enormous amounts of mass through mental concentration.
  • Cosmic Awareness: Galactus can sense disturbances or changes within the cosmic ether on a universal scale.
  • Resurrection: He can raise the dead.
  • Creation: Galactus can create complex, sentient, biological or bio-technical life-forms seemingly from nothing, or at least using his control over molecules to do so.
  • Soul Control & Manipulation: Galactus can control and manipulate the souls and spirits of living beings at will.He uses this power to alter the memories and emotions of others.
  • Recreation: Being a cosmic being, Galactus was able to recreate the entire planet Zen-La, including population, etc. in every detail.
  • Power/Ability Bestowal: Galactus’ heralds, whom he has endowed with a minuscule fraction of his cosmic power, are able to manipulate matter and energy in ways that are far beyond human comprehension.
  • Vitakinesis: Galactus is able to heal himself and others from physical wounds although this may simply be molecular reconstruction.
  • Fear Rays: After being merged with Gah Lak Tus, Galactus can generate “fear rays” from space on psychic frequencies, rendering a targeted population permanently insane within hours. Gah Lak Tus’ modules can release flesh-eating viruses capable of devouring organic life on a planetary scale within hours; the modules can also penetrate a planet’s core and tap its thermal power, transferring it to Gah Lak Tus’ main body.
  • Biosphere Recreation: After the same process that made Galan become Galactus was recreated and exacerbated with Neutronium Galactus now has the power to recreate whole planets and biospheres.

Abilities

Galactus, as the oldest known living entity in the universe, possesses one of the universe’s absolutely most advanced minds. Reed Richards has admitted an inability to fully comprehend even the most rudimentary devices found within Galactus’ Worldship Taa II. The Worldship itself is a solar system-sized construct that is said to surpass any natural world in beauty and splendor and yet within it’s computers is contained knowledge so unfathomable and far reaching it can grant awesome power to those who come into contact with it (see Korvac).

 The Power Cosmic

Galactus is empowered by the virtually limitless power of the Power Cosmic. As such, Galactus manifests a range of powers and abilities depending on his need and desire. Galactus also possesses technology that works with his biology, which is of a degree of complexity that even the greatest minds may not be capable of understanding.

However, Galactus is not entirely omnipotent. The true form of Galactus is not known. He is perceived as the species of whoever is looking at him. To a human, he appears human. To an alien, he would appear the same as them. Galactus’s true form is a golden glowing humanoid body of energy with energy surrounding him, he wears his armored suit to sustain his immense power.

The Hunger of Galactus

Galactus possesses an insatiable hunger for energy that is satisfied by energies derived from energy and life rich planets. Galactus’ great hunger is the greatest motivating force in his life, consuming his complete attention and motivating his every action. He uses energy from the core of planets and universal sources to sustain the energy and biology of his body.

Galactus often uses advanced technology from his ship to harness the biospheric energies her requires. Sometimes, he does not use any technology he simply devourers the world by his touch. The technology he uses is a more complete or efficient way to take the energy in, as Galactus has to use energy to consume a planet without it. The main device Galactus uses is a massive energy converter, which changes the biospheric energies into energy that is then consumed by Galactus.

The energy Galactus consumes not only powers him but nourishes him as well. Galactus can starve to death if he does not continue to consume planets. If Galactus were to perish by starvation, it is stated that he would explode and take a 50 light year radius of the galaxy he is in with him.

Thanos Image result for thanos

Thanos is a mutant Eternal with the Deviant gene. Making him unique and extremely powerful, even amongst his own kind. Thanos loves and worships Mistress Death, the entitity of Death in the Marvel Universe, above all else. Very few can equal his intelligence, strength or ambition for power. Thanos has wielded the Cosmic Cube, the Infinity Gauntlet, and the Heart of the Universe above all else.

Born to the Eternals Mentor and Sui-San, Thanos was subject to the Deviant gene at birth. As a result, Thanos became like that of a ‘mutant’ of Titan (the sixth orbiting moon of Saturn) where he developed a purple, hide-like skin along with strength and other physical abilities far surpassing that of other Titans.

This mutation also augmented the powers he inherently possessed as a descendant of the Eternals. Growing to become the most powerful Titan, his skin developed in such a fashion so as to allow the Titan to not only absorb cosmic energy on a atomic level, but also then manipulate it as kinetic force via conscious choice.

Though never shunned by his family as a youth, Thanos was feared and shunned by his fellow Titan peers as a result of his unique qualities. His brother, Eros, was groomed from their childhood to eventually replace their father in the role of what constituted a leader among their people. Eros would, throughout their youth, be fawned over by loving friends and family, whom much favored him over Thanos. Feeling the sting of such ostracism, Thanos would find solace and purpose in other pursuits. On one fateful day, in an all but forgotten subterranean temple, an enterprising young Thanos would find companionship in the form of Mistress Death.

Decades would pass and Thanos’ relationship with Mistress Death grew and eventually blossomed into a dark and forbidden romance. Under Death’s tutelage, he grew even stronger and more powerful – well versed in the Black Arts, which had long been forbidden on Titan. She taught Thanos that knowledge is power, and that power is everything.

With the revelations of Thanos’ rebellious activities, his maturation, and rebellion against his father: The Mentor, Thanos’ ensuing exile was not far from fruition. When his father discovered Thanos conducting forbidden dark art experiments, he expelled Thanos from Titan – though not without a heavy heart. Fueled by his hatred for this slight, Thanos would begin to amass even more knowledge, skill and power via mysticism, meditation, and bionics during his century long isolation.

Eventually, having surpassed all other Eternals in power and strength, Thanos decided to return to Titan to display his new found might. Thanos would not come home with the intentions his Father had hoped for after his punishment. Instead of atonement, Thanos attacked the planet with nuclear weaponry while orbiting Titan. Thanos had miscalculated Titan’s defenses in his haste to sate his anger, which allowed some to escape the onslaught. However, only a handful of what was once thousands, survived the invasion. As chance would have it, neither Thanos’ brother nor father were on Titan during the assault. To Thanos’ regret though, his mother was not so fortunate – having stayed on Titan, as she was the one member of his family he might have spared. In the aftermath, Thanos left the remains of Titan and returned to space. Proving his devotion and worth to Death was all that mattered to the Titan. with his home now crushed in his wake. During this time in the cosmos Thanos conquered and pillaged many worlds acquiring vast resources such as an assortment of followers, technology, weapons and space craft

At this point, Kronos, the father of Mentor (Alars) and the earth based Eternals All Father Zuras, sought to act out of a sense of obligation for what Thanos had wrought and might yet further cause. Mentor pleaded with this cause to Kronos that they might prevent future tragedy. To that end, Kronos created Drax the Destroyer to ward away the ill which Kronos knew to be the future for The Mad Titan. Drax was formed as an avator for the Eternal – built out of the very cosmic power which made up the living Eternal. Into Drax, Kronos would imbue the singular mission of seeking out Thanos to stop his designs. Drax would become the cosmic force to act as a foil to Thanos. Setting out upon his task, Drax would meet The Mad Titan on a living planet distant from our own star system. The two mighty beings met in an incredibly violent physical confrontation. The clash rendered the landscape asunder and the planet was destroyed – with the two combatants alone to drift within the debris. However the planetary explosion would render Drax incapacitated, allowing the still conscious Thanos to easily capture the Destroyer. After having dispatched Drax in such a fashion, Thanos set about further plans for stepping stones in his growing empire. Taking an interest in Earth – Thanos sent his henchmen the Blood Brothers to survey and deal with a potential obstacles to his ambitions – one of which would become Iron Man. At this time in the cosmic prison Thanos left him – Drax awoke to the coming danger of Thanos’ plans. He then would reach out telepathically – warning Iron Man of the danger nearing his planet and of the history the Titan had for violence. Yet the message was too late as the brothers apprehended Tony before receiving the distress call of Drax. The brothers would return Tony to Thanos staging grounds. During this time Tony drew upon an escape plan and ambushed the Brothers in an unsuspecting moment. Though able to catch the Brothers off guard – Thanos became aware of the scuffle and stepped in. Thanos would crush the metal gloves around Tony’s hands under his heel while Tony lay prone from a singular Titan blow. However – Mentor had been monitoring events from Titan and fired a unknown energy that reached the Titan – simultaneously saving Tony and setting Drax free. Thanos wasted no time deploying the brothers as a distraction while he set the self destruct sequence and made his escape. After a fierce battle against the armored hordes of Thanos – the heroes then attacked the Titan himself. Yet to the heroes’ dismay they in fact attacked a robot look alike, left to keep them occupied until the ensuing explosion which would allow for the Titan’s full retreat. Recognizing the danger, Mentor was able to ward the heroes away before the explosion reached critical mass. In the aftermath, Thanos’ fortress was destroyed, but his whereabouts were unknown.

True to his beginnings,Thanos ever seeks out the mysteries to power for personal use or as a ward from enemies seeking retribution. Yet even the quest for power is dwarfed by endeavors or errant missions for Mistress Death in an attempt to curry her favor. Always Thanos seeks power – but is forever wed to his quest to be found worthy as Death’s cohort. He has succeeded on multiple occasions, but has been consistently defeated. Most often though, as in the case of the Cosmic Cube, The Infinity Gauntlet and lastly in the story told in Marvel: The End – it is a result of a deep psychological construct. In critical moments during these events, Thanos provides a window to his enemies into his subconscious which belies the belief that he does not deserve or even want the power he seeks. This has been most often presented by the personification of his foil – Adam Warlock – whom maintains a prescient link to Thanos through their extended contact within the Soul Gem.

Powers & Abilities

Being an Eternal, Thanos has superhuman strength, endurance, reflexes and agility. He is nearly invulnerable, able to endure extreme heat, cold, energies, radiation, and poisons. Due to his genetic heritage, Thanos is immune to aging and disease. Being one of Mentor’s oldest children, Thanos’ birth is estimated to the around 4000 B.C. Thanos could survive indefinitely without food or water even before Death “cursed” him with immortality. After Death resurrected Thanos, she increased all of his abilities, giving him even greater resilience and energy manipulating abilities. He is exceptionally powerful, and his been labelled in same tier as people like Odin. Thanos’ powers have increased to an unknown level, but its a massive upgrade from his previous form.

Superhuman Strength

Thanos amplified his own abilities during his early life, prior to his published appearances. His physical attributes are considered exponentially superior to those of other Eternals. He is one of the strongest beings in the universe, being able to lift far in excess of 100 tons without any effort, and has destroyed entire planets with the simple force of his blows. His strength has enabled him to challenge and defeat several of the absolute strongest beings in the universe. He physically subdued Beta Ray Bill, and beat the Silver Surfer within an inch of his life, and has proven capable of fighting Thor even when he had the Power Gem. An attacking Hulk was sent away with a single blow from Thanos, and Thanos has easily defeated Ronan the Accuser as well as ripping the Accuser’s Universal Weapon apart with his bare hands.

Invulnerability

Thanos possesses remarkable resilience and durability and has brushed off physical attacks from traditional powerhouses such as Thor and Drax. He was even able to trade blows with a maddened Thor in possession of the Power Gem with only a bloody nose, and was enjoying the fight, until he froze the Thunder God in a block of pure energy, using an experimental weapon. Perhaps what is even more impressive is Thanos’ durability to Energy based attacks. Thor hit him with 2 massive lightning strikes and seemed unaffected during Infinity. He has taken a full power blast from the Silver Surfer without so much as flinching, and seemed unaffected by Odin’s blasts until the latter called on his enchanted spear to amplify his power. Even after that, Thanos was not defeated, although Odin had the upper-hand in the battle. He has survived attacks from top tier abstracts, including Kosmos, Omega, and even Galactus, although with the latter two, this was done with the aid of his personal shields. He is even highly resistant to reality and matter manipulation as shown in his travels during the Thanos Quest in Nexus of reality. He also has withstood screams from Black Bolt at point blank range with only little damage.

Energy and Matter Manipulation

Through meditation and certain mystical techniques, Thanos augmented his power in still other ways, enabling him to tap, transform, and direct vast quantities of cosmic energy for destructive force. He can emit blasts of plasma and cosmic energy of devastating power from his eyes and hands. A example of this was blasting a well fed Galactus with such force, he sent him flying out of his own ship and flying halfway across a planet- though Galactus didn’t sustain injury. Thanos has also destroyed his son Rot, in a blast so powerful it made the universe scream. His energy blasts have also been able to effortlessly KO the Thing and considerably hurt Thor. He was able to damage fully an enraged Hulk with his energy attacks that he almost knocked him out and Hulk needed time to recover even with his powerful healing factor. Thanos is also able to manipulate matter and other energies to his own purposes, such as in shields which are not tied to his technology. More interestingly, he was able to rearrange the Fallen One’s brain on the atomic level to lobotomize and mind control him, as well as heal Moondragon of a supposedly fatal disease just by touching her.

Force Field Creation

Thanos is capable of creating force fields around himself or other objects or beings. Although he usually does this with the use of tech he proved to be capable of doing that on his own. Those force fields are so durable that they were capable of easily taking a blow from inraged Hulk and hold of Champion for a time (who at the time was weilding power gem). Thanos can use his superhuman reflexes to trap beings or objects travelling at high speeds. He was capable of stopping Mjolnir in a force field thrown at him by Thor and was also able to stop Beta Ray Bill’s hammer Stormbreaker.

Telepathy

Thanso has powerful Psionic Abilities. He has proven to be even more powerful than Moondragon and has even entered into the mind of Galactus and battled him astrally. He can project psionic blasts and travel to the astral plane, as well as read the minds of various individuals including, but not included to Gamora. His telepathic abilities has allowed him to defeat Drax using a Sync-Time-Warp attack. According to Thanos, the attack had been 100 percent fatal until Drax resisted it, but was incapcitated by it. He has also been able to lobotomize powerful individuals, such as the Fallen One with ease, and recently mind controlled the Hulk. This feat is made more impressive due to the fact that the Hulk has high resistance to telepathic attacks because of his anger. Thanos’s mind is alos invulnerable to most forms of psychic attacks.

Teleportation

Like other Eternals, Thanos has the natural ability to teleport himself and others, and can also do so through the use of technology. For example, he banished Champion after the latter confronted Thanos about taking his power gem. His use of Tech may be due to the fact that Eternals find the process uncomfortable and it drains their power temporarily. However, given Thanos’ power and durability, he may use Tech to teleport out of habit, rather than necessity.

Immortality

When Death broughts Thanos back to life he was banished from her dimesnion, becoming immortal, meaning that he can’t die by any means and has even been shown to be able to regenerate from a skeleton.

However, Thanos seemed to be written below levels shown in The Thanos Imperative. During the Avengers Assemble arc, he opted to have the Hulk fight the Avengers instead of doing it himself. He also was warped against his own wishes by a man made cosmic cube, and afterwards quickly defeated by a large group of Avengers, among which Groot and Captain America were able to hurt him. However, considering his showings against The Annihilators, Ego and The Avengers recently, this could be panned to simply inconsistent writing.

Superhuman Intellect

Thanos was born with superhuman intelligence and has spent much of his life acquiring knowledge. While in the service of Death, he spent a great deal of time gazing into the Infinity Well and learning “secrets” of the galaxy. Aside from the Watchers, he is, perhaps, the most knowledgeable being in the known universe. Thanos’ brilliance has allowed him to develop some of most advanced technology in the universe. Silver Surfer himself stated that Thanos’ technology would strain Galactus’ intellect, who himself had Reed Richards baffled by his Technology. He’s erected force fields that Galactus has drained himself in piercing them. They were even able to protect him from Omega, a being stated to be twice as powerful as Galactus. He has also created bombs powerful enough to kill Hunger, a powerful cosmic that threatened the Universe and greatly weaken Galactus.

Thanos has also trained Gamora, helping her to become one of the universe’s most feared assassins. While Gamora’s training predates meeting Thanos, she has been given numerous upgrades by him, including Class 70 strength and a near indestrutible skeleton. He trained by her to assassinate Adam Warlock, though she didn’t complete the task.

Drax Kills Thanos During Annihilation

Annihilation

Annihilus, ruler of the Negative Zone, has gathered his forces and has invaded the Positive Zone. His army have proven to be unstoppable, and resistance has been squelched at every turn. Terrifyingly and inexplicably, Thanos has offered his services to Annihilus to be one of his Generals. Thanos assisted Annihilus by helping to organize the capture of Galactus. With Galactus and the Silver Surfer in stasis, Thanos was able to develop technology to use Galactus to harvest cosmic energy to be stored and inevitably turning Galactus into a living weapon capable of destroying entire planets.

Moondragon (who was captured by Thanos) revealed to Thanos that Annihilus planned to use the Galactus weapon to destroy all life in both the positive and negative zones (and Annihilus’ true feelings about Thanos), he decided to show Annihilus who he was dealing with by setting Galactus and his herald free (and quickly teleporting away as to avoid the wrath of Galactus). Thanos then revealed to Moondragon that his only reason for joining Annihilus’ cause was to see how it would tip the scales, and that he had no real interest in Annihilus’ goals. Thanos also revealed that he had built in a fail-safe configured to his own power level so that he and only he could rescue Galactus and the Surfer from their stasis. Before he was able to finish keying in the release sequence, he was killed by Drax the Destroyer with his heart being ripped out from behind. To this Thanos appeared to have more curiosity or annoyance for than fear or anger, and with his dying breath saw Death in the ship with him. Thanos appeared with Death in space to witness the final battle and death of Annihilus.

Adam Warlock came across Thanos’ body. Warlock had long understood that Thanos was an important part in Warlock’s existence, helping to contain and combat Adam’s evil side – the Magus. He encased Thanos in a cocoon This cocoon was found by the Universal Church of Truth and they believed it to be Warlock, their messiah.

Soon Thanos killed his own mother and told her that he knew she was the one who tried killing him when he was a baby…. Thanos decided to leave Titan and travel from planet to planet marrying and having children until he met some pirates and became a member of the space pirates, but the leader would call Thanos weak because Thanos would not kill anyone, so then the leader made Thanos fight him and then Thanos killed him and took over the pirates! Soon, Thanos went back to Titan and when he barley got back the mysterious (now woman) went to Thanos right away to Thanos surprise! He wanted her to be his wife and told her he married and had children thinking it would fill the void of not having her! She told Thanos that he had to kill all his wives and children if he wanted to be hers, so Thanos did, he went from planet to planet wiping out the planets…. On one of the planets a survivor tried killing Thanos, saying, “You took everything away from me” and Thanos had told him that it was not personal and Thanos told him that he did what he had to for love! The man questioned how killing was out of love, so Thanos told the man to ask his lover if he killed enough and that only she could put an end to the raiding of planets. The man went inside Thano’s ship only to see a dead body on Thanos’s bed, and he ran out and told Thanos there was no one to talk because the woman was dead, but before he could explain everything he saw Thanos killed the man! Later on Thanos begged his lover to be with him, but she kept refusing him until finally Thanos told his men to lock her up until she would be his, but Thanos’s men looked confused and told him there was no one there… That was when the mysterious woman revealed she was death (Mistress Death)! She showed her true form to Thanos, and Thanos shot some of her face off but only to be mocked by her, and her calling him stupid and telling him that he was a fool so Thanos tried killing himself but he did not have it in him to do so. Death told Thanos he had one more place to raid and she would be his and that place was Titan! Finally Thanos gave in and gave the order to kill everyone on Titan… Thanos came face to face with his father who was begging him to stop this madness, and Mistress Death played with Thanos’s mind, making it seem like his father did not love him and that all along this was Thanos’s destiny. She told Thanos to kill his father but Thanos told her that he wanted his father to witness him and her being married, after hearing Thanos’s words his father showed that there was nobody in the room but them two! Soon Thanos left and without killing his father! Mistress Death finally kissed Thanos and told him they have worlds to destroy, and all Thanos could think about was how cold her kiss was….. Then the story goes back to the present day where Thanos was over his mom’s grave remembering all of what happened, and Mistress Death came to him again but Thanos ignored her and kept walking… The story ends with her calling out his name “Thanos, Thanos, talk to me”

Adrian Veidt was born in 1939, the son of rich immigrant parents, he was found to be incredibly intelligent. After his parents and his teachers became suspicious of his grades, he successfully hid his intelligence by deliberately achieving average grades. After his parents’ deaths, he inherited their substantial fortune at age 17, but chose to give it all to charity. Veidt then embarked on a vision quest, following the route of Alexander the Great – a childhood idol – throughout the Mediterranean, Asia Minor, and former ancient Persia.

It was during this journey that he consumed a ball of hashish and decided to become a superhero. Returning to America, he named himself “Ozymandias” and became a costumed vigilante, focusing particularly on organized crime and earning a reputation as “the smartest man on the planet.” However, his own cases robbed him of the idealistic belief that battling crime would truly lessen evil and suffering in the world. This was brought to a head when an abortive attempt to organize a new superhero team was disrupted by the Comedian, who noted in his brutally apt way exactly how petty the doings of the costumed heroes were in a world where the threat of nuclear war hung overhead, and how powerless they were to stop it. Veidt was inspired to do just that. 1975, two years before vigilante crime fighters (superheroes) are banned by the “Keene Act,” Veidt retired from super heroism, marketing his image for money. This helps bankroll his scheme of creating a catastrophic event and deceive the world into uniting against a common enemy, in Veidt’s case, a horrific alien invasion. To that end, he employed geneticists to clone the stolen brain of a murdered psychic and use it to create such a creature with a group of artists and creative personnel to help create the illusion. He also invents a limited form of teleportation based in part on the studies of (and studies by) Dr. Manhattan. Upon completion, he arranged the murder of all of his accomplices to maintain the illusion.

To prevent Dr. Manhattan from interfering, he hired old associates of the superhero and secretly exposed them to radiation to induce terminal cancer in them, then engineered a rumor that Manhattan was responsible, causing Dr. Manhattan to exile himself to Mars and thereby setting off a chain of events that threaten to start a global war. When the Comedian inadvertently learned of Veidt’s plans, Veidt personally murdered him as well. The death of the Comedian caught the attention of Rorschach, who investigated the crime and mistakenly theorized that there existed a conspiracy to murder masked adventurers. Although Veidt arranged an assassination attempt on himself to throw off suspicion, he framed Rorschach on a murder charge to get him out of the way.

Unknown to him, the current Nite Owl and Silk Spectre grew to believe that Rorschach’s investigation had merit and sprung him from prison to investigate the matter. In addition, Dr. Manhattan took Silk Spectre to Mars where she convinced him to return to Earth. However, the superheroes were unable to stop the fulfillment of Veidt’s scheme, which led to the deaths of over three million people in New York City. The world governments fell for this ruse, and agreed to a union to oppose this new alien menace. Seeing as how Veidt’s plot had the desired effect of uniting the nations of the world and averting a possible nuclear war, Doctor Manhattan, Nite-Owl and Silk Spectre agree to keep silent about what they know, as it would only plunge the world back to the brink of disaster. Rorschach alone refuses to keep silent, telling Dr. Manhattan that he will never compromise, not even in the face of Armageddon, Dr. Manhattan must kill Rorschach before he can tell anybody what he knows, and does so. When Veidt asks the precognitive Dr. Manhattan for verification that he did “the right thing” and that his plans “worked out in the end,” Dr. Manhattan can only reply that nothing ever ends, leaving Veidt once again in doubt as to whether or not his plan was successful.

Adrian is shown as being pacifistic, with his master plan in Watchmen being to unite the world’s superpowers and ensure world peace, and liberal, supporting various causes in India, for instance, and offering his help. He is, however, highly goal-driven, and shows some extremist traits as well, being willing to kill millions of people (and even former colleagues, like Marla, his assistant, or The Comedian), and deceive the world for what he deems is the greater good. He does have a softer side, with Hollis Mason noting his apparently easy-going personality, and great sense of humour, as demonstrated by an interview he has with Nova Express. He is shown to be a vegetarian, and has a good relationship with animals, especially his genetically-engineered Lynx, Bubastis (to whom he apologizes, before killing her in an attempt to destroy Dr. Manhattan). He also has a strong sense of morality, engaging in crime-fighting to protect the innocent, and studying the footage of Kennedy’s assassination in an attempt to find the culprit. After his master plan comes to fruition, he shows despair and emotional pain after coming to terms with what he has done.

Powers and Abilities

Veidt does not possess any inherent superpowers. He is incredibly intelligent, and has been called “the smartest man in the world”. He appears to have exceptional attentional abilities, utilising many televisions playing at the same time in his lair to gain a better understanding of the social climate, and is a shrewd businessman and skilled tactician, managing to both build up a vast empire from nearly nothing, and manipulating even the likes of Dr. Manhattan, a nigh-omniscient demigod. He is at the peak of physical fitness and a very skilled fighter and acrobat (having received extensive training in Kung-Fu, amongst other martial arts) with feats including dodging gunfire by predicting where the bullets shall land, beating both Rorschach and Nite Owl II simultaneously, and catching a bullet fired at him at point-blank range.

Abilities

  • Genius Level Intellect: Veidt is referred to as the smartest man alive. His mental performance allows his mind to operate in the most efficient and rapid manner possible. One manifestation of this is his tactical genius; the ability to quickly process multiple information streams and rapidly respond to changing tactical situations. He is capable of creating numerous technologies to counter Dr. Manhattan. Veidt is able to view a wall filled floor to ceiling with television screens, each showing a different image he is able to pay attention to each one simultaneously.
    • Eidetic Memory: Veidt also possesses an eidetic memory, meaning that he never forgets anything and has perfect recall.
    • Historiography
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Multilingualism: Veidt is fluent in English, Turkish, German, Russian and various other languages not shown.
    • Physics
    • Tactical Analysis: He had been widely considered one of, if not the greatest, tacticians on the planet. He is able to create a vast billion dollar International corporation with links to legitimate and criminal organization, all with the single purpose to bring world peace via the threat of a fake alien invasion.
  • Martial Arts: Veidt is an expert in hand-to-hand combat being very skilled in multiple martial arts. Fighting skills sufficient to hold off both Nite-Owl and Rorschach at the same time.
  • Acrobatics: His years of training and experience even at age 40 have made him an expert acrobat.
  • Peak Human Condition

Apocalypse

Over thousands of years, Apocalypse has traveled the planet starting countless wars and conflicts in his quest of winnowing out the weak from the strong in which the strong would defeat and destroy the weak in his belief that only the strong should survive and rule while believing that he was the strongest as Apocalypse has even stated that “Peace does nothing to test — to INCREASE — mutants’ strength. To force them to evolve into the strong”. Apocalypse has also been worshiped by many civilizations, under a variety of names and he even created his own cult known as the Clan Akkaba that was made up of his many blood related descendants who lived by the creed “survival of the fittest” whose members would deceive, betray and even kill their own relations merely to be deemed closest to Apocalypse giving he or she control of leadership of the clan in Apocalypse‘s place when absence or in hibernation. Apocalypse also found group of fanatics devoted to the Darwinian ideals that the strong should inherit the Earth while the weak should be culled forming them to be his own private army known as the Riders of the Dark.

As stated Apocalypse has a strong belief in survival of the fittest that has made him a very complex foe. Although Apocalypse was born over 5,000 years ago he waited till the mid 20th century to attempt to conquer the world as he viewed the world as being weak and not worthy to be ruled by him and so waited till there would be more mutants on the planet. Even when seemingly defeated, his plans have meant that even a loss is a victory; as in his first encounter with the X-Men, when the mutant team had defeated his Alliance of Evil, Apocalypse, much to Cyclops’ confusion, displayed satisfaction, stating that they had done well and that their “assistance” has been invaluable and he will find them again when he needs their help in winnowing out the weak as the conflict was really just a test to see how powerful they were and if they were worthy to someday be ruled by him. Due to believing in strength. Apocalypse has shown to admire his servants when they are standing up to him; as his former Horseman Archangel had come to his senses, refusing to serve Apocalypse any longer and attacking him, Apocalypse only responded saying “Excellent! Strong in mind, as well as body!” As well as Apocalypse did not kill Sinister upon learning of his treachery, but forgave him, seeing Sinister’s defiance as a act of strength, although Apocalypse did warn him that it would not be tolerated again.

Apocalypse does not engage in physical confrontation often preferring to manipulate beings to fight on his behalf in order to prove themselves through their loyalty or their strength, and as well as manipulate the events behind-the-scenes as he has even said that he prefers to play the role of the grand manipulator and hates being played as a pawn. Apocalypse regularly cultivates religious awe, devotion, and loyalty in followers who he uses to carry out his will. He has established followers, worshipers, high priests and descendants in groups such as Clan Akkaba. His servants, often named the “Four Horsemen of Apocalypse” (after a passage from the Book of Revelation from the New Testament) typically serve Apocalypse with religious fervour.

Apocalypse has little to no respect for humans as their only important role in life was to create mutants to replace them and Apocalypse has even said that humans are the natural enemies of mutants and that it is his duty as one of the first to save mutant kind. Although their his enemies, Apocalypse does have a high degree of respect for the X-Men and the X-Factor for their strength, skill, power and their loyalty towards Charles Xavier and his belief that humans and mutants could live together in peace as Apocalypse has offered them the chance for them to join him many times. However Apocalypse has no respect for their belief that humans and mutants could live to together in peace as Apocalypse believes that mutants could never achieve true peace with humans as they would send mutants to camps, exterminate mutants, or force mutants to become living weapons for humans in wars against each other and even if there could be true peace between mutants and humans. Apocalypse believes that peace with humans would only slow mutant kind’s growth and make them weak as Apocalypse deems humans no longer fit to survive.

One of the very first mutants, Apocalypse is both thousands of years old and a monstrous tyrant that has been a longtime foe of the X-Men. Apocalypse believes that only the strongest (whether mutant or superhuman) should survive. His body is a mix of organics and powerful celestial technology.

The story of Apocalypse began in 3000 BC Egypt during the First Dynasty. Born gray-skinned (although Apocalypse’s skin color is sometimes depicted as flesh colored or dark skinned) and blue-lipped with natural facial markings, in the settlement of Akkaba, he was abandoned as an infant, but found by a band of desert nomads, the Sandstormers, whose leader, Baal, saw the child’s potential power, and raised him as his own, naming him En Sabah Nur. He was taught in the philosophy that the tribe lives and dies by: survival of the fittest. Nur and Baal were the only Sandstormers to survive on the day that General Ozymandias with his army, destroys the Sandstormers’ tribe, as they found refuge in a sacred cave before it collapsed. Baal eventually died from lack of nourishment after weeks of deprivation, but before he did, he admitted to Nur that he had believed him to be a savior foretold in ancient prophecies who was destined to overthrow the pharaoh Rama-Tut. The young Nur vowed to take revenge on the pharaoh and claim his destiny. He hid himself as a slave in Tut’s city, where he has visions of Egyptian gods who revealed his great destiny. The pharaoh Rama-Tut, in actuality an earlier incarnation of Kang the Conqueror who had come back in time to locate the young Apocalypse and take him under his wing, tried to convince Nur to join him, but the young mutant savagely attacked the pharaoh only to be taken down by the conqueror’s futuristic weapon. Nur survived, and tried to rescue Nephri, Ozymandias’ sister, who had become attracted to the mysterious slave, but Nur was ultimately rejected by Nephri for his inhuman appearance, and she turned to her brother for protection in her panic. Heartbroken by this final rejection, En Sabah Nur’s prodigious mutant abilities fully emerged in his enraged state, and he renames himself Apocalypse. Rama-Tut flees the former slave’s rampage, while Nur uses his advanced technology to enslave and transform his former tormentor, Ozymandias, into a blind seer made of living stone, who would forever chronicle Apocalypse’s future destinies. Fifty years later, Nur revisits Nephri, now an elderly Egyptian Queen on her deathbed, and mocks the loss of her beauty and vitality, in contrast to his own unchanged appearance, despite the passage of time.of Apocalypse’s personality have varied throughout the years as his personality has changed in small subtle ways from story to story and depending on the writers. However, Apocalypse is almost always universally portrayed as a being of almost limitless malice who sees the weak simply deserving death and contempt while viewing those of strength and aggression as those who should survive. In his initial appearances, Apocalypse was depicted as a mutant supremacist, however over time Apocalypse slowly became more of a character with concerns of the continuing evolution of humankind and mutantkind and how it must progress over time. Apocalypse has tested mankind over the thousands of years of his life to provide his own form of natural selection, culling the weak from the strong in order for humanity to grow stronger. Apocalypse is sometimes portrayed as a malevolent and megalomaniac despot, bent on conquering the world as the self-considered fittest. Apocalypse has often been seen as a cruel, vicious, ruthless, sadistic, and masochistic monster appearing to be emotionless and extremely cruel as he is among the most brutal of the X-Men‘s enemies to the point where Apocalypse would kill members of the Clan Akkaba for even asking for help while each member were blood related descendants of himself. It has even been stated that Apocalypse is history’s most notorious villain as even the High Evolutionary has said that Apocalypse is a villain of the first order.

Apocalypse believes that peace with humans would only slow mutant kind’s growth and make them weak as Apocalypse deems humans no longer fit to survive.Genesis Genesis is a clone of the reincarnated child version of Apocalypse. Fantomex executed the child Apocalypse and, unbeknownst to the rest of X-Force, created a clone from his remains. Fantomex intends to prove that with the right upbringing the child could be a hero. Genesis was raised in a VR program by Fantomex and Ultimaton. He believes he was raised on a farm in Kansas by a gold hearted and hardworking Ma and Pa. At age 11 he discovered that he had powers and his “Uncle Cluster” (Fantomex) arrived to help train with them. With his “Uncle” he began to harness his powers and was itching to use them for good.Evan is capable of using all of Apocalypse’s powers but has been trained by Fantomex in the use of his shape-shifting powers and how to control his dematerialisation blasts, which he can channel through his hands or eyes. He is also in possession of a suit which allows rocket-propelled flight. He also has super-enhanced resistance to injury. Evan has telepathic resistance as was shown when the Red Skull (Red Onslaught) was controlling everyone during his fight with the heroes and villains. All though Evan has turned back into Apocalypse, it is not stated rather he still has his Celestial tech anymore.

During the events of Axis, in which the X-Men and the Avengers fought the Red Skull. In order to stop him, the Scarlet Witch and Doctor Doom casted a spell to bring Xavier back inside Red Skull’s body. The Inversion spell however failed, causing all heroes to turn evil, and villains to become good. Because of this, the kind-hearted Evan (Genesis) was turned into Apocalypse, his dark side. He ruled the evil X-Men, who like him have also turned to their dark sides. Apocalypse/Evan and his X-Men took control over New York City. They went looking for the Red Skull’s body, which was locked up in the Avengers tower. After a brief battle, in which they captured Captain America, Apocalypse/Evan announced to New York that he and his X-Men where in charge and if they do not want to be killed they better leave New York.

While this happened, Apocalypse/Evan, secretly made a Celestial machine that would wipe out all humans world wide. Mystique shows up to try and talk some sense into the X-Men, so Apocalypse sends Rogue and Night Crawler to deal with Mystique. Mystique tells her two children that this is wrong and they need to stop this before it’s too late and they ruin Xavier’s dream forever. It is then that the heroes whom remained ‘normal’ attacked Apocalypse/Evan and the inverted X-Men. During the battle, Apocalypse killed Deadpool as Deadpool and Spiderman where trying to stop him and his Gene Bomb. Deadpool tried to reason with Evan (Apocalypse), telling him that he is still good and he doesn’t have to go down the road as his original, former self. Apocalypse then ripped Deadpool’s head off. Apocalypse later snatched Spiderman up and was about to kill him until Thor did a sneak attack that caught Apocalypse by surprise. Thor had to use his Jarnbijor, hitting Apocalypse/Evan in the back, cracking his celestial armor. Before Apocalypse could recover, Thor kept hitting him with the axe and would have killed him if it wasn’t for Absorbing Man. Even after the beating with the axe Apocalypse was able to save Rogue from Kluh. Mystique used her shape shifting powers to turn into Xavier to try to get Apocalypse/Evan to stop, and to hope that there was some part of Evan still in him, but it failed and as Apocalypse was going to kill her, Absorbing Man saved her, touching the same axe Thor was using to try and kill Apocalypse. Eventually the Inversion-spel was reversed and al heroes returned to themselves, including Evan, whom no longer was Apocalypse.

Powers

Apocalypse is one of the most powerful mutants who have ever lived in the Marvel Universe as well as one of the most powerful beings who have ever walked the face of the Earth. Apocalypse was originally an External mutant, whose wide variety of superpowers, which already quite powerful were enhanced, modified, and amplified to be far beyond their original limits after exposure and merging with Celestial technology from the Celestial Ship which also allowed Apocalypse to gain new powers as well. Because of this, Apocalypse possesses several superhuman powers unlike most mutants. When at full power, Apocalypse is in fact more powerful than even powerful mutants such as Exodus or Stryfe and has also been able to defeat Ikaris when he was a Prime Eternal in battle and Apocalypse has even held his own against powerful foes such as Loki and even the High Evolutionary in battle. It has even been said that Apocalypse’s powers appear to be limitless as even Apocalypse himself has claimed that he is still not fully aware of the full powers he has been given from the Celestial starship and that it has even been stated that Apocalypse’s powers will continue to grow and evolve to higher and greater levels over time. His celestial armor is almost impossible to penetrate, on one occasion when he fought a young Thor; Thor was not able to hurt Apocalypse even with his Asguardian ax… Loki (Kang pretending to be Loki) was able to trick Thor into placing a certain spell that allows someone to break through celestial armor, the spell was placed on Thor’s ax, which even then it did not kill Apocalypse once Apocalypse let his guard down for Thor to hit him with it..

Super-Strength: Apocalypse possesses vast superhuman strength the full limits of which are unknown and have never been measured. However, Apocalypse is strong enough to physical lift well over 100 tons of weight easily without a doubt as well as fight and hold his own against Namor after Namor was exposed and empowered by salt water and in a fight with Thor. A headbutt was said to send shock waves for over a hundred of miles. Apocalypse also possesses a much higher degree of resistance to pain and physical injury than that of normal humans allowing him to withstand powerful explosives, energy attacks, and falls from orbital heights, physical blows from superhumans like Colossus or Namor with far less physical injury than that of what would instantly kill normal humans as well as the extreme cold and pressure of outer space and has even withstood a scream from Black Bolt’s voice which at the very least was more powerful than that of the detonation of a nuclear warhead explosion along side with Cyclops’s optic beams. Apocalypse has been shown to hold She-Hulk with one hand, another example of his strength…

Apocalypse can increase his physical superhuman strength to even higher levels by increasing the physical size and mass of his body when taking on more mass from a different dimensional source, when psionically drawing upon outside energy sources or by absorbing energy into his body giving him virtually almost unlimited superhuman strength that is potentially incalculable since Apocalypse can draw upon almost unlimited energy from an extra-dimensional source and Apocalypse has yet to depict his maximum physical strength, but it could be well over 1,000 tons of weight which still might not be Apocalypse’s physical weight lifting limit. Apocalypse’s body produces practically no fatigue toxins during physical activity granting him almost limitless superhuman endurance and stamina in all his physical activities. speed, agility, and reflexes are all superhuman to being able to hit beings as fast as Quicksilver or as agile as Beast.

Shape Shifting: Apocalypse has complete control and mastery over the entire molecular structure of his body and might possibly even have control over the entire atomic structure of his whole body. Because of this, Apocalypse is capable of altering his body at will in almost anyway that suits him allowing him to adapt to almost any adversity, environment, or disease making him not need nor requires any kind of sustenance such food, water or air and can allow him to stay in outer space and can gain almost any physical superhuman powers such as turning his arms and other limbs into a variety of various types of weapons and devices such as blades, swords, axes, lances, hammers, shields, maces, saws, tentacles, machine drills as well as plasma cannons and guns with bullets, and with other parts of his body, this also includes forming working mechanical wings or rocket propelled booster jets in order for him to fly. Apocalypse can also form gills in order to breath while being underwater, and even form multiple limbs such as one point having 6 arms. Apocalypse can also reshape his body at will as he can alter his physical appearance into a variety of human disguises, and also allow his body to become extremely malleable stretching, contorting, or elongating his limbs and body at will in a similar manner to Mister Fantastic. This also includes his Lung Capacity allowing him to even have a super breath. Apocalypse can also alter his size and mass at will as he can quickly increase or decrease the physical size of his body and in the X-men 90’s TV show Apocalypse become as large or larger than the Statue of Liberty (305 feet or 92.964 meters). Apocalypse also has a powerful Healing Factor which also allows him to adapt his body to apparently any disease or hostile environment rendering him immune to the effects of all known Earthly diseases and infections including from the effects of radiation or diseases like AIDS as well as any other type of poisonous or toxic substances and has even reformed himself at will. Apocalypse’s molecular rearrangement powers also allowed him to constantly renew his own cells thus making him immortal in the in the sense that he is completely immune to the effects of aging and would never die by old age while remaining in his physical prime.

Energy Blasts: Apocalypse has access to a seemingly almost unlimited amount of extra-dimensional energy allowing him to be capable of generating massive amounts of raw concentrated ambient plasma like energy and channelling that energy through either his eyes or hands or expelling the energy from his body for a number of different effects, including, but not limited to projecting energy attacks from either his eyes or hands which he can mentally control, create, generate, and project powerful and nearly impenetrable protective force fields to defend himself and others or engulf and trap individuals inside while at the same time protect the individual inside capable of containing superhumans as powerful as Exodus, dimensionally phase shifting a part of his body through a solid object or person. Apocalypse can absorb massive amounts of energy with almost no limit in order to augment the levels of both his physical superhuman strength, durability as well as his other superhuman powers to even higher superhuman levels giving him almost unlimited potential. Apocalypse once absorbed all the practically near infinite supply of energy from Cyclops’s optic beams which is well over 2 gigwatts (2 billion watts) of energy, making Cyclops unable to use his powers for months. Apocalypse can also infuse his body with his own energy making him appear to move even faster to counteract speedsters, and can even blow himself up with a explosion powerful enough to knock out Colossus and then reform himself with his Shape Shifter powers. The amount of concentrated energy Apocalypse can project and how powerful it is, is unknown, but he has broken through Invisible Woman’s force fields with a single attack and it has once taken the combined full powered attacks of Cyclops’s optic beams, Jean Grey’s telekinesis, Gambit’s kinetically charge playing cards, and Storm’s thunderbolts, to barley overpower his energy attack and it is possible that the amount of energy Apocalypse can release as a concussive force is almost unlimited due to Apocalypse’s connection to a different dimensional source.Apocalypse does possesses the ability to manipulate energy to some unknown degree. Both his own and others, once channeling energy attacks shot at him back to where they came from by making his own body act like a conductor which he did with plasma energy and thunder bolts against Storm and Havok at the same time.

Telepathy and Telekinesis: Apocalypse also possess powerful Telepathy and Telekinesis allowing him to read minds, Absorb Information, Astral Project, mask his presence from being detected by other telepaths, developing a mental link with any person, mind blast others, Psionic Shield to protect himself, and transferring both his mind and powers into other host bodies at will should his own physical body be somehow destroyed and can telekinetic lift well over 100 tons and once has even shown being able to rip person’s skeleton out of their body. An example of Apocalypse telepathic skills is when he did battle with Jean Grey inside of a baby Cable’s mind and was able to win, this happened in X-Factor 68… Apocalypse has also shown telepathic skills in “Blood of Apocalypse” when he felt the depowered mutants around the world and felt their pain…. In the Onslaught saga he was able to read the thoughts of his seer and knew years worth of information..

Flight and super-speed: Apocalypse can fly at over Mach 8 (6,089.66 miles per hour) possibly faster as he has flown in outer space on his own, teleport himself and other across the entire planet, once even teleporting an entire fortress along with him while leaving those within it behind, can interface, communicate, control, and even merge with the various technologies he has at his disposal. and his blood has many unique properties including healing and even empowering properties and has even allowed Apocalypse to form a new bodies, as the techno-organic cells within Apocalypse’s own blood will rewrite almost anything that comes in contact with it, including any of the surrounding matter near that of his body. With only one single drop of Apocalypse’s blood into a vat of organs, blood, bones, etc. the virus will also rewrite the genetic code of the material within to form a new body for Apocalypse. Ozymandias has even stated that as long as one drop of Apocalypse’s blood remains. Apocalypse will never truly be dead and can always be resurrected. Apocalypse has also shown reaction speed as well. One example was when he fought the High Evolutionary and was dodging his lasers by opening holes in his body and he was also able to speed blitz a team of X-Men within 60 seconds, and one of the X-Men happened to be Quick Silver…. Also Apocalypse was at his weakest and was dying when he took down the team of X-Men and he was not trying to kill them either.. All this happened in Xecutioner Song..

Genius Intellect: Apocalypse possesses an above genius level intellect with intellectual capabilities far beyond the scope of almost any other human being, as he is a genius at a level of which humanity cannot comprehend. Apocalypse possesses a vast amount of knowledge and expertise in many various branches and areas of science and technology including from the areas of biology (mostly that of Humans, and Mutants. However, Apocalypse does possesses knowledge in the biology of multiple kinds of different species including sub-human species such as the Atlanteans, the Deviants and possibly the Eternals and even alien species such as the Skrulls), primarily genetics, physics, biochemistry, genetic engineering, mutations as Apocalypse is a Master of Mutagenics evident in his creation of augmented mutants like the Four Horsemen, engineering and technology all of which is far more advanced than that of conventional science and technology from the Earth itself. Apocalypse has also even shown that he is capable of the Adamantium bone bonding process when he took the Adamantium from Sabertooth and bonded it to Wolverine and it has even been hinted that he was connected to the Weapon X Project. Even Henry McCoy also known as Beast of the X-Men (who is not only a world renowned biochemist, but has even been stated by the super villain group known as the Intelligencia and by Mister Fantastic himself to be one of the eight top mortal minds on the planet) using Shi‘ar medical equipment needed Apocalypse’s expertise in biology to help cure Charles Xavier of a Techno-Organic Virus in order to save his life.

Tactical Genius: Apocalypse is also a master of manipulation, intimidation and strategy, and is able to turn former adversaries and even some of the greatest X-Men to his side and has plans that have had hundreds of year of planning. Apocalypse has also claimed that he is capable of speaking fluently in every human language on the Earth

Indomitable Will: Apocalypse has a strong force of will that is practically indomitable with his own personal belief that he himself is strong. That combined with his own psionic powers and the fact that he has learned how to strengthen his mind’s defenses through centuries of training and experience, Apocalypse possesses almost complete immunity to telepathic attacks even from telepaths as powerful as Jean Grey, Cable, and even Professor Charles Xavier. Apocalypse is capable of shutting out high level telepaths from entering his mind and even causing them a great deal of pain upon any attempts to do so. Because of this, Apocalypse’s mind is almost indomitable to other psionic powers as he has even shown of being capable of shutting out Jean Grey from his mind when his mind was exposed and vulnerable proving his mind or will was stronger. One example of Apocalypse’s strong will was when he battled the X-Men while his body was falling apart due to him dying from being awoke too soon in X-cutioner Song…

Expert Physical Combatant: Although, he does not engage himself in direct physical combat often preferring to use his servants or other beings who serve him to fight his enemies on his behalf, Apocalypse was trained in various multiple forms of armed (most notably swords and daggers) and unarmed combat and has shown to possess enough skill to fight and kill three armed Sandstormer warriors from his tribe using only his bare hands even before gaining control of his powers. however Apocalypse has shown his skilled in swordsmanship when morphing his own limbs into weapons.

Weaknesses

The down side of Apocalypse being altered by the Celestial technology and his power enhancement was that the Techno-Organic Virus was needed to allow this to happen and because of this; it has been further hinted that Apocalypse’s body is ravaged by the Techno-Organic Virus itself as he must find and switch bodies regularly by transferring his consciousness and powers into a succession of host bodies abandoning each one when it becomes too weak after burning through each body out faster than the last to contain his full power in order to survive making it very important that the next body is powerful enough to hold his immense power. Most of his replacement bodies must wear an exoskeleton body armor in order to contain the vast amount of the power and energies he has in order to prevent it from consuming him from within weakening him faster. In Cable’s timeline, Apocalypse had become so powerful and advanced, that transferring his consciousness into new bodies periodically became a necessity as his immense powers would cause him to exhaust host bodies. Apocalypse can apparently switch or merge host bodies at will to continually revive his self-consuming body.

Apocalypse’s only other exploitable weakness lies in the fact he has to regenerate himself at unrevealed intervals by taking long slumbers in his rejuvenation chambers in order to refuel and sustain his immense power which continues to grow and evolve over time allowing him to be at his fullest and most powerful. Should those slumbers be disturb, Apocalypse will be at a weaken and vulnerable state.

Although being capable of astral projection; Apocalypse cannot engage in long range astral projection on the earthly plane.

Although Apocalypse have a great degree of knowledge over celestial technology as he does utilize celestial technology as part of most of his ventures and has even made improvements upon it, his understanding of it have limits as his first ship (which was comprised mostly of celestial technology) contained secrets, technology, and even rooms that Apocalypse had yet to discover.

Paraphernalia

Apocalypse’s armor is cybernetically grafted and bonded to his body and can be physically altered at will as the armor itself is a physical part of Apocalypse’s body. Apocalypse’s armor contains different types of devices including a teleportation device in cause Apocalypse is unable to teleport under his own power, psychic damping arrays’, and sensors so beings who are capable of invisibility won’t be able to evade detection as Apocalypse’s sensors are powerful enough to allow Apocalypse to see even the High Evolutionary while he was invisible and can even see past Uatu the Watcher’s cloaking field and can also withstand the godly might of Thor.

Several of Apocalypse’s bases have a rejuvenation chamber called the Lazarus Chamber which will strengthen and revive his ever-growing powers if weakened and Apocalypse will also have his physical body cloned in case his body is ever destroyed beyond repair. Apparently Apocalypse’s Celestial technology (which is said to be far more advance than the bits of Shi‘ar equipment belonging to the X-Men) is capable of manipulating the genes of mutants giving them altogether new abilities or augmenting the powers they already possess (The process does have the effect of warping the minds of the subjects to more of Apocalypse’s way of thinking) Apocalypse has used this method on many of his Horsemen and on Exodus. If necessary, the Celestial technology in his ship and many bases around the world will heal Apocalypse from any state including from death itself, by bringing him back to life. Apocalypse also has access to other forms of alien technology including from the Skrulls and the Badoon as well as other various alien sources as well. Apocalypse’s technology is so advanced that one of his robots has shown being able to teleported into the Fantastic Four’s headquarters undetected, hack into their computer, steal information and leave without being detected and Apocalypse has used his technology in attempt to drain Loki’s magical energy. Apocalypse even possesses technology that can not only allow time travel, but can even open rifts in reality itself.

Red Skull

the troubled childhood of Johann Schmidt. Raised in a traumatizing world of the European streets, Johann’s mind found itself warped and paved for something much more sinister to come. Born in a village within Germany, Johann’s life would start its dark path when his mother would die from giving birth to him. This event drove Johann’s drunken father in a depressing state to where he would cope with the idea of avenging his stressful problems by simply drowning the infant Johann. Saved from near death by the delivering doctor after halting Johann’s father from killing him, Johann’s father would later commit suicide that would force Johann without any parents and to be forced into an orphanage. Growing up into a life of being bullied, Johann’s hatred for others slowly began to expand itself by being convinced that every man was truly his enemy. Hating every passing day of abuse, Johann predictably ran away to led on a life as a beggar and a petty thief. Usually taking menial jobs to keep himself sustained, Johann later found himself offered a job as a sweeper for a Jewish shopkeeper and also found friendship with the daughter of the shop owner as well. As the girl took a liking towards Johann, it would be when he forced himself onto her where she would deny him because of his actions. Johann would finally take his inner feelings into action by committing his first murder when he killed the girl in a fit of blind rage with a shovel.

Back out on the streets again and desperate for any means for survival, Johann would have his chance in 1933 after being one of the many Germans who were forced into joining the Nazi Party as a Sturmabteilung. As Hitler rose to power, Johann still wasn’t satisfied seeing how he was merely a prop rather than a fighter like the S.S. But Johann’s life would change after learning that Hitler was staying within a selected hotel, Johann secretly came up with the idea of making an impression on Hitler by acting out as one of the hotels bellboys. Upon learning that Adolf Hitler was making his stay, Johann successfully acted as one of the hotels bellboy’s who tended to the Fuhrers stay. Coming upon Hitler scolding one of his Gestapo’s for failure of capturing a spy who recently escaped from Germany, Hitler took notice of Johann claiming that he personally could teach Johann to be a better Nazi than any of his own officers. At first glance during Hitlers claim, Hitler not only found a potential recruit within Johann, but something that even the ruler of Germany would fear himself. Ever dedicated to prove himself to be what the Fuhrer of Germany saw within him, Johann proudly accepted his training as an S.S. Officer.

After Hitler later found himself unimpressed with Johann’s training, the Fuhrer relieved Johann’s commanding officer and strictly took over Johann’s training himself. Shaped and molded into Hitlers own twisted image before his training was finished, Johann became the second most powerful man within Germany who answered to no one but Hitler himself. As his first act under Hitlers command, Johann killed his former officer who failed to train him under Hitler’s ideal for an S.S Officer. This twisted accomplishment awarded Johann an officer uniform, rank, and a trademark that would be burnt into the hearts of those who would dare oppose Hitler’s agenda, Johann was given a blood red mask of a skull that would be worn and show his enemies Hitler’s wrath and image that would install fear. Thus the Red Skull was born.

Powers, Skills & Abilities

Red Skull doesn’t have any known physical or mental powers without the aid from the Cosmic Cube or any other known power source.Red Skull mostly kept his body physically fit prior to his first death and after having his conscious placed within a clone. Having knowledge of several forms of fighting skills that’s almost equaled to Captain America, Red Skull is a deadly and formidable fighter that even heroes such as Bucky Barnes and Falcon couldn’t compare with. Aside from his experience with fighting, Red Skull is also proficient with the use of several fire-arms, auto-matics, rifles, knives, and any other forms of weaponry that he feels to be useful for his needs. It’s also known that Red Skull is an experienced master-of- disguise, and also experienced within the fields of sabotage and espionage. During his time within Captain America’s cloned body, the body had also maintained the Super Soldier effects that gave Red Skull increased strength, speed, and stamina.

Red Skull is very well-known for his ability to produce elaborate schemes and his display of strategy. Naturally forming a plan that consists of two or more goals to serve his needs, holding back a hidden plan that wouldn’t be revealed until later, and a fall-back plan in case his current plan tends to fail. After his first death, Red Skull would perform his plans behind the scene’s to where nobody would even expect his involvement. One form of strategy that Red Skull favored was his advantage of his near death experiences, several times Red Skull has performed this feat as an advantage to where even some believed that the Red Skull couldn’t be killed. Aside from his ability to produce elaborate plans, Red Skull does have knowledge and experience within the fields of leadership and is known to be extremely manipulative.

Probably the one thing that does make Red Skull extremely dangerous is the massive amount of resources and connections he has with various groups, organizations, and other characters within the Marvel Universe. After his second revival and taking the identity known as Mr. Smith, Red Skull developed access within just about everything place throughout the world, even reaching access into the White House itself. Funding several groups and holding his own division that consisted a representative from each group he funded, Red Skull was capable of training and creating new costumed heroes and villains, ordering assassinations on any selected target, gain access towards weaponry and equipment, and plus any other desired requests that would serve his own agenda. Because of this Red Skull successfully had Steve Rogers replaced with John Walker as Captain America, had Albert Malik assassinated, faked his own death several times, and had Captain America shot by Sharon Carter who was currently brainwashed. It’s unclear of the full extent of which groups or individuals were funded or controlled underneath the Red Skull seeing how he strictly acted behind the scenes or that they were unaware of who they are working with.

After his first encounter with the Cosmic Cube, Red Skull quickly studied and learned how to use it’s powers and control it to where the Cube granted him god-like powers. With the knowledge he gained from the Cube, Red Skull even knew how to easily transfer his conscious in and out of the Cube. It’s also known that Red Skull successfully used the Cube to create a being that strongly resembled Hitler (as Hate-Monger) and was made out of pure emotion.

The clone Red Skull possessed all of the mental abilities of Professor X, including telepathy and the power to bend the minds and wills of others.

Weapons and Equipment

Red Skull has owned various weapons and equipment that he mostly uses to serve his own needs and purposes. With his resources and criminal connections, Red Skull can acquire any type of weaponry of his own choosing such as firearms automatics, explosives, laser rifles, rockets, knives, etc. Aside from hand-held weaponry, Red Skull also has access towards equipment, vehicles, and locations that are secretly hidden in various locations throughout out the world.

Red Skull’s trademark weapon that he mostly uses for defensive or assassination purposes is his Dust of Death. Developed and manufactured by the Red Skull himself, the Dust of Death is a reddish powdered base substance that has a violent reaction when coming into contact with the skin of the victim. Once contacting the skin, the dust deteriorates and changes the skin into a reddish dyed shriveled appearance, causing a reddish skull when contacting the face of the victim. Strictly using this substance to come into contact with the face of the victim, the victim’s face would quickly change while he or she would die from asphyxiation after inhaling the substance. When Red Skull accidentally used the substance on himself, he survived its devastating effects but was left with a reddish skull appearance. Usually the Dust of Death is kept in a secret compartment that’s mostly hidden within Red Skull’s cigarette holder, a hand-held gun, or placed within any object such as a telephone or a coat.

The Cosmic Cube

Formerly Red Skull came into possession with more than one Cosmic Cube throughout his career. After acquiring the first Cube, Red Skull was granted god-like powers that caused him to alter reality to his own choosing. Such as switching bodies, creating elemental beings, altering his own appearance, granting powers, creating beings out of pure emotion, and any other known power that he chooses to display at his own will. After losing possession of the recent Cosmic Cube, Red Skull possessed an imperfect Cube that was secretly designed as a trap for his former ally the Hate-Monger. This imperfect Cube only served as a trophy that contained Hitler’s trapped conscious, and the Cube was long forgotten until a neo-nazi cult increased its powers. Possibly the same Cube, Red Skull later possessed another imperfect Cube that granted limited abilities and was used by the Red Skull to transfer his own conscious in and out of the Cube at will. This was the last Cube that was seen in Red Skull’s possession, which was also destroyed by Bucky Barnes.

Sleeper Robots

Prior to Hitler’s downfall at the end of WWII, Red Skull created and designed various robots that he hid deep underground in various locations throughout the world. Calling these robots Sleepers, they would lay in dormant until the Red Skull himself would activate them. Each robot proving more powerful and different from the other, Red Skull has used these massive Sleepers’s for the purposes of wreaking havoc throughout populated cities. It’s unclear as to how many of these robots Red Skull created or if there are any more hidden deep underground.

Life Model Decoy’s

After taking the role as Mr. Smith, Red Skull would take an advantage of one of his employers known as Machinesmith who designed several Life Model Decoys that the Red Skull strictly used for defense, protection, and other uses that gives Red Skull a higher advantage with his schemes. Holding several of these LMD’s at his command, each LMD is updated with the current events and is fully aware of Red Skull’s status, unless the memory program is either altered or changed. Later Red Skull disbanded his needs for LMD’s and instead used Arnim Zola’s life-like plastoids.

Aside from his basic usage of weaponry and robots, Red Skull usually has his current location equipped with several death traps and escape routes in case he’s either threatened or his base is infiltrated. Even the mutant terrorist Magneto had difficulty capturing the Red Skull due to his series of traps that almost had the Red Skull escape from Magneto’s clutches.

Dark PhoenixPhoenix Endsong

Dark Phoenix is the name given to Jean Grey after she became corrupted by the Hellfire Club and turned into a vastly powerful supervillain who proceeded to cause chaos across the universe until being defeated in a battle than supposedly claimed her life (of course Jean Grey was later reveal.

The Phoenix Force is an immortal entity and is the prime universal force of life. It was born of the void, between states of being. It is the origin of all psionic energy and will exist forever in all realities of the omniverse. It is also the Guardian of Creation and of the M’Kraan Crystal in the Shi’Ar Empire. The Phoenix Force has the power to cut and regrow any part of the universe or destroy it entirely, burning away what it deems “obsolete”. When the Phoenix was in Rachel, Galactus tried to take the Phoenix apart. When he put Rachel in the machine, stars started to fade away. Roma told Galactus that she is the embodiment of life. A Watcher tells him that if he kills the Phoenix all life in the Universe will cease to exist and no life will ever come about it.d alive

Dark Phoenix

When the villain Mastermind, along with the Hellfire Club, psychically seduced Phoenix, the power became too much for the human portion it

assumed and she became Dark Phoenix. Dark Phoenix flew into space and destroyed a solar system and a Shi’ar cruiser before returning to Earth to confront the X-men. After a psychic battle with Professor X, she was defeated and her power cut back to Marvel Girl levels by a new set of psychic circuit breakers placed by Xavier. She and the X-men are then transported to a nearby Shi’ar ship and she is about to be put to death by the Shi’ar council led by Xavier’s lover Lilandra of the alien Shi’ar Empire. When Professor X called for a duel in all their names, the X-Men fought for “Jean’s” life. The human portion of Jean resurfaced in the Phoenix and committed suicide to prevent any injury to the X-Men as they fought for her.

Following this “death”, the Phoenix regained its celestial form and memory. Horrified by what it had done, it attempted to atone by returning the stolen piece of lifeforce to Jean Grey in her cocoon. When Jean, in her stasis, realized what was done in her name, she rejected her tainted lifeforce, and this small fragment of Jean’s essence and the Phoenix force found a home in the comatose body of Madelyne Pryor. So in the moments after the Phoenix’s “death” on the moon, Madelyne sprang to life in Mr Sinister’s Nebraska laboratory.

Some time later, the real Jean was discovered in her cocoon and Jean returned to the X-Men. Scott and Jean were married. There was some strain placed on their marriage through their lives as X-Men.

Powers and Abilities

Initially, Jean’s powers were simply restricted to telekinesis, and even lifting her own weight quickly tired her. With training her telekinesis improved, but it wasn’t until after she was released from the stasis chamber she was placed in by the Phoenix Force that her telekinesis really started to become powerful.

Jean’s telepathy was suppressed at a young age by Charles Xavier after she connected with her dying friend, Annie Richardson. Later, Xavier released these mental blocks for a more mature Jean. She lost telepathy following her release from the Phoenix egg, only to regain it after battling Psynapse with X-Factor.

While accessing the Phoenix Force, Jean’s empathy, telepathy and telekinesis are greatly magnified and heightened to an incredible degree. The Phoenix Force also allows her to travel unaided through the vacuum of space, cross interstellar distances faster than the speed of light, and to manifest flames while using her powers, often in the shape of a fiery raptor.

The Phoenix Force has the ability to manipulate cosmic energies and to tap into the life-force reserved for future generations, thus denying them existence. It can wield this energy to project beams of immense destructive force. It can transmigrate throughout time and space by folding its energy back into itself, causing it to collapse akin to a black hole and then reform itself upon reaching its destination. It can directly absorb energy such as Cyclops’ optic blasts or even the entire energy of a sun. It is also capable of absorbing the energy and life-force from a foe. As it is the nexus of all psionic energy, it has mental abilities of cosmic scope, including telepathy and telekinesis.

The extent of the Phoenix Force’s abilities has not been fully clarified. Jean Grey as The White Phoenix of the Crown was able to change the future of a universe by reaching back in time and pushing her husband Cyclops to move on with his life.

Another major display of the power of the Phoenix was during the Secret Wars II, when the omnipotent Beyonder wanted to destroy all life. Rachel Summers, who served as the avatar of the Phoenix Force at that time, sought to kill the Beyonder. The Beyonder expressed both amazement and disappointment to Rachel, claiming that she denies herself her own glory when she can be so much more. With that, the Beyonder gave Rachel the full access to the power of the Phoenix as well as some of his own, Rachel was on par with Jean Grey when she became Phoenix. With such power, Rachel was able to absorb the consciousness of every sentient mortal being in the universe, and when expelling the sum total of the power back at the Beyonder, the input felt overwhelming even to his senses.

Often the Phoenix seeks out hosts who have strong inherent psionic abilities so they can withstand its power. When the Phoenix Force enters a host, a small fragment of its power is left behind when it leaves. Even a small fragment can be stronger than an inexperienced host using the Phoenix Force’s powers; as seen by Rachel Summers, who had full access to the Force, but her opponent Necrom threw moons at her with only a fragment. When bonded with a host, the Phoenix Force amplifies their abilities to incalculable levels. It can manipulate matter on a sub-atomic level and transmute elements (e.g., turning wood to gold, stone to crystal, etc.). It can teleport others across space and can also open inter-dimensional portals to instantaneously access distant locales of the Universe. If an avatar of the Phoenix Force is harmed or killed, it will form an “egg” of cosmic power, incubate in the White Hot Room, and hatch out completely healed. Also, as one of the oldest cosmic beings the Phoenix Force possesses a high level of cosmic awareness and prescience.

Powers and Abilities

The Phoenix Force is described as one of the most powerful forces in the universe.

It can wield its energy in a variety of different ways including:

  • Fire it into an immensely powerful concussive force.
  • It can travel in time and space by collapsing its powers from the inside, much like a black hole, and reforms itself in its destination.
  • It can absorb many kinds of energy, from the life-force of an individual to the entire energy of a sun.
  • The Phoenix Force has the power over life and death itself and can use it to resurrect itself or others.
  • Since it is the source of all psionic energy, it has vast telepathic and telekinetic powers and is always searching for a host that is strong enough to bear its power.
  • When the Phoenix Force does enter a host, it amplifies the basic abilities that the host innately has, allowing them to manipulate matter on sub-atomic levels, and can teleport others from various corners of the universe via wormholes.
  • When the Phoenix Force leaves its host, it leaves behind a small fraction of its power within the host.

Should the Phoenix Force be harmed, or possibly killed, it becomes an egg of cosmic power and incubates in the White Hot Room until it hatches out completely healed.
