X-MEN: THE GIFTED on Fox

The Gifted is an upcoming American television series created for Fox by Matt Nix, based on Marvel Comics’ X-Men properties. It is connected to the X-Men film series, the second television series to be so. The show is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Marvel Television, with Nix serving as showrunner.

The series stars Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker as ordinary parents who take their family on the run after they discover their children’s mutant abilities. Sean Teale, Jamie Chung, Coby Bell, Emma Dumont, Blair Redford, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Percy Hynes White also star in the show. The series received a put pilot commitment at Fox after a previous attempted X-Men series did not move forward at the network in 2016; The Gifted was ordered to series in May 2017.

The Gifted is set to begin airing on October 2, 2017.

Blink has the ability to teleport herself and others at will. Blink can teleport large masses, including sizable groups of people. She can also use her powers in a destructive manner by teleporting only parts of objects. She can open portals that displace projectiles and even enemies that threaten her. Blink’s portals are typically pink and accompanied by a “Blink” sound.

Blink also has lilac skin, dark pink hair, pointed ears and pupil-less green eyes (this was a change in Exiles: both Ultimate Marvel and Age of Apocalypse Blink has white eyes with a blue sheen). She also has pink marks across her face: these are not decorations or tattoos, and were present from birth.

Lorna Dane met the original team of X-Men while still a student. When the villain Mesmero used his “psyche-generator” to summon mutants in North America with latent powers,Lorna found herself compelled to travel to San Francisco, where Mesmero was. There she encountered the X-Man Iceman, who broke her trance by causing her to slip on a patch of ice and then convinced her to come to his apartment. At the apartment, Lorna met the rest of the X-Men who soon learned that she had latent mutant powers. Mesmero and his android Demi-Men captured her and took her to their desert headquarters, with the X-Men in pursuit. The psyche-generator awakened her mutant powers and Mesmero named her “Queen of the Mutants”.

When the X-Men attempted to rescue her, Magneto revealed himself as the leader of the group behind her abduction—and, more importantly, claimed to be Lorna’s father. Despite the X-Men’s assertions that Magneto is evil, Lorna could not bring herself to fight her own father. Iceman returns from meeting with her foster parents who told him that her birth parents had died in a plane crash years earlier. This information caused Lorna to turn against Magneto but it was later revealed that she had caused the accident and Magneto had her memories of it erased with the help of Mastermind. For a while, Iceman was attracted to her, but Lorna did not truly reciprocate the feelings. She did, however, fall in love with her teammate Havok.

Thunderbird was a mutant that possesses superhuman strength (sufficient to rip apart a fighter jet with his bare hands), speed (he was fast enough to outrun a bison, possibly much faster), and stamina due to his dense musculature. His senses were also enhanced, enabling him to become a highly adept tracker.Thunderbird had received military training in hand-to-hand combat.
