An unnamed assassin blows up a squad of enemy soldiers as part of a failed political coup. Marked for death, after four days of fleeing for his life he passes out in the snow and is rescued by a troop of Japanese macaques. With the exception of one monkey, the troop accepts the assassin into their clan. The man knows that he is still hunted, so he trains daily, using snowmen as training dummies. Quietly, the monkey that distrusts him watches and learns the assassin’s skills. The assassin’s health fails, and while the troop tries to save him, the lone monkey objects, eventually fighting the rest of the troop with his newfound skills.
Because of the violence he displays, the monkey is banished from the clan. Now on his own, the monkey sees a group of men on their way to kill the assassin. He tries to run back to warn his tribe, but is too late: the men kill the assassin as well as the rest of the monkeys. Furious at his clan’s slaughter, the monkey picks up extra guns from a bag and kills the entire group of men. Determined to avenge his fallen tribe, the monkey now dedicates his life to killing assassins – under the alias of Hit-Monkey.
In Deadpool #19, Spider-Man finds a local shop owner brutally murdered. Having seen Deadpool in New York earlier, Spider-Man suspects he is the killer, and fights and catches him. Deadpool claims he has an alibi, and after examining the crime scene, says that only one assassin could have pulled off the job so flawlessly: Hit-Monkey. Because Hit-Monkey is known for killing other assassins, they realize that Deadpool is likely on Hit-Monkey’s hit list. Spider-Man reluctantly teams up with Deadpool to catch him.
After killing some dirty cops, Hit-Monkey follows Spider-Man in order to find and kill Deadpool. Hit-Monkey accidentally shoots Spider-Man in the fight and seemingly feels bad about it, showing that he is not just a ruthless killer, but a killer of known assassins. Trying to capitalize on this moment, Deadpool attempts to kill Hit-Monkey, but fails and is shot several times. Hit-Monkey leaves him for dead, apparently not knowing about Deadpool’s healing factor. Deadpool then pretends to be Spider-Man and fakes his death. At “Spider-Man’s” funeral, Hit-Monkey comes to pay his respect, thinking he killed him. Deadpool jumps out of the casket to kill Hit-Monkey, but Spider-Man has rendered both fighters’ guns unusable so they can’t kill each other without blowing themselves up as well. Deadpool doesn’t care and pulls the trigger, seemingly killing Hit-Monkey but surviving due to his healing factor. Nevertheless, Spider-Man reveals that Hit-Monkey did survive or, at least, that his body was not found. Hit-Monkey later returns for a short cameo.
As part of the All-New, All-Different Marvel event, Hit-Monkey appears as a member of S.T.A.K.E.’s Howling Commandos.
Hit-Monkey later joins Domino’s incarnation of the Mercs for Money.
Hit-Monkey is seen with the Howling Commandos when they help Old Man Logan rescue Jubilee from Dracula.Hit-Monkey is an expert marksman and martial artist with incredible agility and reflexes.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind
- The main protagonist of Golden Wind, born Haruno Shiobana (汐華 初流乃), Giorno is the illegitimate son of Dio Brando. However, because DIO’s head was attached to the decapitated body of Jonathan Joestar at the time of Giorno’s conception, he is technically a Joestar, Jonathan’s biological son, and bears the Joestar birthmark as proof of his Joestar lineage. Bearing a similarity to both men in regard to personality (Jonathan’s sense of morality and Dio’s indifference to his enemies), he is initially observed by Jotaro and Koichi in case he became a threat like DIO. Giorno’s dream of becoming a “Gang-Star” in the Passione mob family after rescuing a wounded mafia member however has changed his motivation and prevents him from becoming as evil as Dio was. As a combination of Dio and Jonathan, he is kind, caring, and calm, a trait traced from Jonathan; but also confident, brutal, and a cunning strategist, a trait inherited from Dio. He aspires to overthrow Passione’s boss, to end the drug trade, and turn the gang into an organization which helps the people of Italy, much akin to Robin Hood.
- His Stand is named Gold Experience (ゴールド・エクスペリエンス, Gōrudo Ekusuperiensu), which has the ability to imbue things with life, which is mostly used to turn inorganic objects into living organisms. Later on, Giorno learns how to create body parts with Gold Experience, giving him the ability to heal himself and others (albeit causing significant pain in the process). Giorno can also use Gold Experience to sense the lifeforce of others. When the Requiem Arrow chooses Giorno, his Stand becomes Gold Experience Requiem (ゴールド・エクスペリエンス・レクイエム, Gōrudo Ekusuperiensu Rekuiemu), which greatly evolves its life-giving properties and also has the ability to return any kind of process back to a state of “zero”, nullifying any desired action. Its ability to nullify things can even affect death, and the act of returning a person’s death to “zero” places said person into an infinite loop of endless deaths (in which the target doesn’t actually die, but is put in a state leading to death over and over again) of greatly varying causes.

Along the way, Nikolas befriends a surly reindeer, bests a troublesome troll, and discovers a hidden world of enchantment in the frozen village of Elfhelm. The film is loosely based on the true story of Tom and Eileen Lonergan, who in 1998 went out with a scuba diving group, Outer Edge Dive Company, on the Great Barrier Reef, and were accidentally left behind because the dive-boat crew failed to take an accurate headcount.
Thomas Joseph Lonergan (born 28 December 1964) and Eileen Cassidy Lonergan (née Hains; born 3 March 1969) were a married American couple who were unintentionally abandoned in the Coral Sea off Australia’s northeast coast on 25 January 1998, during a group scuba diving trip on MV Outer Edge. Their absences were not noted by the boat crew until two days later on 27 January and while search efforts resulted in the discovery of personal effects presumed to be those of the Lonergans, they did not lead to their discovery. Their whereabouts are unknown, though both are presumed dead.
The couple’s disappearance and deaths resulted in “a crisis of confidence in north Queensland’s dive industry” and resulted in tighter mandatory safety regulations for diving boats in Australia. Their disappearances also served as the inspiration for the 2003 film Open Water.
On 25 January 1998, the Lonergans were scuba diving with a group at St. Crispin’s Reef in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. The boat transporting the group to the dive site departed before the Lonergans returned from the water. None of the vessel’s crew or passengers noticed the two had not come back aboard.
At the time of the incident, the couple had recently completed a two-year tour of duty with the Peace Corps at Funafuti atoll in the small South Pacific island nation of Tuvalu and were repeating that work in Fiji.

“Tick, Tick… Boom!”Stream on Netflix on Nov. 19On the cusp of his 30th birthday, a promising young theater composer navigates love, friendship and the pressures of life as an artist in New York City.
Tick, Tick… Boom! (styled as tick, tick… BOOM!) is a musical written by American composer Jonathan Larson. Tick, Tick… Boom! tells the story of an aspiring composer named Jon, who lives in New York City in 1990. Jon is worried he has made the wrong career choice to be part of the performing arts. The story is autobiographical, as stated by Larson’s father in the liner notes of the cast recording – Larson had been trying to establish himself in theater since the early 1980s.
Larson began to perform the piece as a solo work in 1990. After his death, in 1996, it was revised and revamped by playwright David Auburn as a three-actor piece and was premiered Off-Broadway in 2001. Since then, the show has had an Off West End production, a West End production, an American national tour, two Off-Broadway revivals, in 2014 and 2016, and numerous local and international productions.
A film adaptation, directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda in his feature-length directorial debut, will be released on Netflix in November 2021.
The show was first performed Off-off-Broadway in September 1990 by Jonathan Larson in a workshop at the Second Stage Theater under the title Boho Days. Larson revised the developing piece following Second Stage, changing the title to Tick, Tick… Boom!, and presented with him as performer in November 1991 at the Village Gate (with college friend Victoria Leacock producing), and then later in 1992 and 1993 in the “O Solo Mio” fests at New York Theatre Workshop.Larson performed the show as a “rock monologue”, a new form of theatre for the time. The performance attracted the attention of a young producer named Jeffrey Seller, who became a fan of Larson’s work. In 1995, he saw the New York Theatre Workshop production of Larson’s musical Rent and convinced his fellow producers to bring it to Broadway.
After Larson’s death in 1996, Leacock asked David Auburn, author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Proof, to reconfigure Tick, Tick… Boom!. He restructured the monologue into a three-actor musical, with one actor playing Jon and the other two actors playing Michael and Susan, as well as all the other roles in the show. Also, the script and score were streamlined and edited. This revised version of the piece premiered Off-Broadway at the Jane Street Theater on May 23, 2001. Auburn received credit as “Script Consultant”
