Leaving Netflix in December: Mariah Carey, Underworld, and an uninvited Guest
The Guest, starring Beauty and the Beast‘s Dan Stevens as a mysterious soldier claiming to be a friend of a family’s dead veteran brother, is one of those gems, and it’s making its way out on Dec. 4.
Other gems include horror film It Comes at Night (leaving Dec. 8), the Oscar-winning film The Theory of Everything (leaving Dec. 15), and seasons 1-4 of AMC drama Halt and Catch Fire (leaving Dec. 13).
Mariah Carrey’s Merriest Christmas special (leaving Dec. 8), the Hilary Duff meme-making A Cinderella Story (leaving Dec. 31), Charlie’s Angels (leaving Dec. 31), and the Kate Beckinsale-fronted Underworld movies (also leaving Dec. 31).
All four seasons of Knight Rider (plus the TV movie) are coming to Netflix in December.
HBO Max adds the complete series of Mike & Molly and every season of Sanford and Son and The Jeffersons are debuting on Prime Video.
Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye wraps up its first season on December 22nd, followed by the premiere of The Book of Boba Fett just one week later.

In 2000, Berry won an Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a miniseries or a movie for her performance in HBO’s Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, a biopic about the first Black actress to receive an Oscar nomination for best actress (Carmen Jones, 1954). Berry also won a Golden Globe, SAG Award and NAACP Image Award for that performance.
In 2002, Berry won an Oscar for her lead role in Monster’s Ball, becoming the first (and still only) Black woman to win for best actress.
This is a busy season for Cardi B, who will make her hosting debut on the American Music Awards on Sunday.
The 2021 People’s Choice Awards will air simultaneously on both NBC and E! on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 9 p.m. ET from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.
